I found a love for me, darling just dive right in, and follow my lead...

Robert's POV

Freshman Year of High School

I walked towards her locker, sweaty palms and all, ready to ask her a question. The question that determines all.

The question I've been dying to ask her since 8th grade but never had the courage to.

I dreamt many times of how this will turn out. Like a movie I imagined it to happen.

"She'll say yes..." I assured myself, as I got closer to her locker. Her friends stood around and smiled with laughter from whatever funny thing she said.

She could light up the darkest room, and fulfill the greatest destiny... well at least to me, she could.

I continued towards her, as she gave me a smiling glance. She was perfect, I thought. But we locked eyes again, and I felt nothing but fireworks.

I noticed her friends nudging her, and giving little giggles. Whispering things to her that only made her cheeks get a darker shade of pink.

Her friends left just as I approached her.

Now it's just me and her.

Here we go...

"Hey Robert." She smiled.

"Hey y/n." I responded. "How are you?"

"I'm good. And you?" She asked. "You look a little... flushed."

"Who me? Oh no, I'm fine. Maybe it's because, you know, I came from gym and all..." I trailed off.

"Oh, I see." She nodded. "Well I should be going, I have practice after scho--" She began to grab her bag.

"Wait..." I stopped her. "Hold for a second."

She stopped and looked me square in the eyes.

"I... I've been meaning to ask you something." I began. "I always wanted to ask you this since I've laid eyes on you, and I know that yeah we're young, but I just... feel something with you. A connection, and it's just been always in the front of my mind. I can't seem to think of anyone or anything else..."

"Y/n, I love you...." I held her hand. "Will you go out with me?" I asked, and a smile formed in her lips.

She didn't say anything but pull me close for a hug. She then kissed my lips, and pulled away slowly.

"Yes." I saw a sparkle in her eye, and now I know I'll never let her go.

Well I found a girl beautiful and sweet,
I never knew you were the someone waiting for me, cause we were just kids when we fell in love...

Senior Year of High School

It was the after party of prom, and I took y/n to a little nearby park just to have a little alone time for all the other partying teens.

Y/n and I were holding hands under the moonlight as we walked through the grass. She was barefoot, holding her heels in her other hand since her feet began to hurt from them.
