AN:

The internet was down for a week.. I think.

And to make up for it, I decided to publish this chapter too.

Oh and by the way, chapter 16-22 is already done J

That’s all!

May the odds be ever in our favor….. especially for Nath-I mean Grace.

“So.. That was.. uh.. terrible.” Zach said, unsure. He never thought about my life getting this complicated. He thought I was with.. ugh.. uh.. my mate. That sounds sickening.

“Okay.. so you’re here because…” he said, returning to the reason why I was here.

I rolled my eyes “My wolf’s missing.”

“Your wolf’s missing!?” he shouted, like he didn’t believe a single thing I said.

“My wolf’s missing.” I said again.

“That’s impossible!!” I winced at his tone.

“Will you quiet down!?” I demanded. His looks may have not changed but his tone only became.. scarier and.. more like a guy’s. Eck.

He stood up and went to his table, frantically searching for something in his desk. “Na-Grace, whatever. I’m telling you! It’s impossible, you have t-t-t-to be..” his voice wavered and my panic level only increased.

“What?” I said.

He looked at me with a horrid expression. “To be dead.”

I froze.

Dead?

I have to be dead? But I’m alive right?

I pinched my hand. “Then why does this hurt?” I asked him, raising my hands.

“I don’t know..” he rested his back on his chair before closing his eyes.

“It also bothers you eh Zach?” Eric’s came in the room and sat on the couch, Jake and John trailing behind him. Jake was obviously trying to avoid me because he sat on the far end of the couch, not bothering to spare me a glance.

“Hmm, usually, a were dies immediately after the wolf left.” Jake said, looking at the Zach expectantly.

“Yes, they do, indeed.” He opened his eyes and glanced at them.

“That means her wolf is still in her, right?” Eric asked Zach, who looked at me, trying to figure out how.

“That’s possible.” Zach nodded.

“Can we both talk for a moment please?” Eric said to the three of us.

“Okay.” I said, “Go on.”

“Privately.” He added.

The three of us left the building, and Jakes actions are really pissing the hell out of me. “You’re treating me like a ghost.” I mumbled, crossing my arms and looking away.

“I am not.” He said.

John chuckled, “Then let’s switch places bro.” he pulled Jake’s arm but he moved away in panic. I felt offended by his actions. Who wouldn’t? I feel like a virus. He looked disgusted just looking at me.

It’s like I was already dead you know? A dead came back to life. Well, take a note mister, my skins smooth! I don’t have any holes in my body, I don’t smell like a mummy-
