“I thought we were going to train.” I whined. “Before that we should recap about how you trained before.” He said. I frowned at that. Luke was the one who trained me; I don’t know anymore, I tried to forget about it.
“I don’t know okay, that was a long time ago.” I said, standing up, trying to ignore the topic.. “Fine.” Eric said, finally giving up.
“Run.” He pointed to the street. “Kay.” I said with a frown. He moves on easily.
So we both sprinted off, running a kilometer before heading to the forest. “Who trained you years ago?” he asked me. I sprinted off, trying to run faster and avoid him and his questions. “Did you forget Grace? I’m pretty sure I’ve met him already.” His voice was hiding something I can’t point. So I sprinted again. Was he doing this on purpose? Does he know about Luke? Well, It’s pretty obvious he does.
“I know his name started with the letter L.” I jumped over a fallen trunk before running to the left to avoid a tree “Ah, yes Luke.” He was by my side now. “Yeah, him.” I said nonchalantly. I avoided another tree before running to my right.
“Why did you want to fight?” Eric appeared on my side again. I groaned, “Why do you want to know?” I slightly panted. “Because…” he avoided a tree, “I want to know.” His voice was so convincing but I still tried to avoid answering as much as I could.
Finally, we returned to the side of the pack house, where trainings are usually held. Pack members were ordered not to roam around the land for now, since rouges are on the loose.
I was shocked when I saw Eric appear in wolf form, his tongue poking out as he panted. You were fast He spoke in my mind. What just happened? He was beside me just a moment ago.
He changed behind a huge tree and came out with a grey shirt and basketball shorts. He was perspiring a little bit, while my body looked like it just run around the whole country.
“That was .. “ he said, sitting on a chair for a few minutes before standing up again.
“Okay, let’s see what you can do.” He closed both his hands in a fist before positioning himself in a fighting stance. I copied his actions. We circled each other like we were in a boxing match.
He threw a punch first but I avoided it. He swept his feet, I jumped to avoid being tripped. “Okay.” He threw a punch in my left side making me move back as he kicked me. “Phew.” That was close.
I threw my fist in his left side but he grabbed my hand, so I kicked him but he grabbed it too. I let myself fall down, and I used my other foot to kick him where the sun don’t shine.
I stood up as he double over in pain. “Go Grace!” I heard John shout, I looked at him only for a spare second as Eric pounced at me, both of us toppling to the ground. “That was a foul move.” I said, “Like yours?” he raised an eyebrow.
Okay that was a harsh move I admit.
He pinned both my hands over my head when I tried to push him back. I tried to move but I couldn’t. My hands and legs were being held by his huge body. So my head can only think of one solution to get out of this.
I bit his neck.
One of his hands removed its grip on my right. You freed the dangerous one. I thought before punching him straight in the face. My left hand was freed so I pushed him, making us roll over. Me on top and him on the bottom. I raised an eyebrow before standing up.
We both resumed our standing position. “Well, I shouldn’t hold back anymore.” With that he threw a punch on my left so I jumped to the right, unaware that he threw another one. His fist made contact with my gut.
“Get up.” He ordered. He was serious this time.
I got up, ignoring the pain in my abdomen. He threw another punch sideways but I sidestepped it. I copied Eric’s move, I bent down and swiped my right leg, he didn’t expected it so he immediately tripped. I threw a punch but he grabbed my arm. I smirked, it was expected.
I made a circular motion on my arm, twisting his. His back was now facing me. I tried to knee him but I felt his other arm move. I moved his arm behind his back, twisting it more in the process. He groaned.
Suddenly, he faced me, he somehow successfully removed his arm from my grip. He was about to grab me so I jumped back. Putting a safe distance between us.
I was about to charge at him but his next words made me stop and stick to my place.
“Tell me, how did you survive inside that room?” he blurted out. I can say that he was as shocked as I was. He cleared his throat before looking around awkwardly.
How did he know?
I stared at him but he was wearing a blank expression. I looked around to see if anyone was here to hear us.
I looked in my right, then my left and in our back.
We were alone in the place. John and Jake where nowhere to be seen.
I walked to him. I grabbed his arm and I squeezed it slightly “How did you know?” But he stayed still, my touch or my glare neither affecting him.
“I was there.”
