“You know something about me.” He said, putting his hands in his pockets.

I mentally sighed. Of course I do, heck, I know half of it. He spent it with me. But the other half? It was still beyond my knowledge.

“I’ll take that look as a yes.” I swear I saw him smile. It wasn’t the same smile I was used to, but that’s an improvement.

Then something inside of my head made me speak. “You know what’s up.” I said, my voice changing into something else. I couldn’t help my emotions locked up. Something inside of me snapped.

He groaned. He faced his back on my as he gripped his hair tightly. “This is a bad idea.” He mumbled.

“Trusting them was a bad idea.” His head snapped to my direction.

“You know nothing.” He gritted his teeth.

This conversation is just pushing me to the edge. “If I don’t, then you wouldn’t be here.” I tilted my head in a mocking way.

“Girl’s right.” I heard a rough voice at the end of the room. It was the old man who kept on muttering since I got here.

He was in his 60’s, holes filled his clothes as his beard started to grow white hair. He was about my height and is absolutely skinny.

“You have to get out Luke. Take the girl.” The old man puked as every hair on my body stood up. His eyes were changing. Everything I was feeling was replaced with fear.

When I looked at Luke, he seemed like he was in a deep thought. He was obviously calm about the situation, making me realize that Luke shared a bond with this old man. Because if it was the first time they met, he should have been reacting like me; Freaked out.

I snapped out of my own thoughts when I heard the bar door open.

I stared at Luke with wide eyes.

“You owe me big time girly.” He grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the cell, and just in time, we heard the door open, revealing the two guards who were shocked as their eyes stopped at Luke.

“Run fast.” He said before pulling me into the darkness.

We were both panting by the time we reached the forest. My mind still processing what was happening.
