The feeling of coldness enveloped me. I tried to reach out for any signs of the blanket but all I found was a pillow, but this pillow wasn’t as soft as the other pillow. Anyway, a pillow is a pillow.
Wow, this bed sure smells nice.
I sniffed the pillow as I buried my face into it more. This is what I call life.
I stiffened when I felt an arm go around my waist. Last night’s memories came flooding in.
The feeling of panic immediately washed my whole body away. Why did I do that? I chanted inside my mind as I think of a way how to leave out of this and explain what happened.
But should I explain? I mean he was the reason why I got into this mess. So I guess I shouldn’t bother explaining him anything about this.
“Morning.” A rough sleepy voice filled my left ear.
What should I do?
Should I push him and run down? No, that’s too tricky.
I should yell that there’s a snake in the room. Yes! Then he’ll get too distracted by it and I should have had enough time to run inside the bathroom. But what if he asked about me later? No, it’s going to be alright. I should just say that he doesn’t have any right to ask me anything about it.
Okay that’s right.
Ready.
One.
Two.

“What are you thinking?” Great. He stroked my hair and tucked it behind my ear. I opened one eye to see him looking at me with a smile. I closed my eye immediately, noticing that we were so close, only a few centimeters are in between us.
“Your face’s scrunched up in a weird way.” I felt him smile as he spoke. I tried to turn around but his arms trapped me inside. I looked down so that he can only have a view of my hair. This is very humiliating. I’ve already seen look on his face, and it’s enough to make me wish that I could’ve just been swallowed by mother earth.
“You can let me go now.” I said a little muffled as Eric hugged me tighter, making my mouth squeeze into his chest.
I tried to say ‘I don’t want to’ but it came out as “Hwahwowanho.” Due to the fact that my face was literally flattened in his chest.
“I can’t hear you.” He said in a sing song.
But I have to do with my face. I feel like I’ve been squished with two glass doors. My mouth was half open. Disgusting, I know.
“If only I could see your face right now.” He chuckled.
He did this on purpose!
Using my free hand, I smacked him anywhere my hand can go, and that is his face. He muttered an ‘ow’ before letting me go.
I jumped up; ignoring the headache I got for standing too fast and made my way to the bathroom ignoring the black dots that appeared in my vision.
I locked the bathroom door in a hurry as I tried to steady my breathing. My headache subsided as my vision returned back to normal seconds later.
“Grace! Hey, just to remind you that we have training today. You have an hour to get ready.” His shadow appeared in the door, making me walk a little bit further away. One word coming up in my head.
Awkward.
“Okay!” I shouted back and I felt him chuckle again before I heard the door.
I let out a long sigh as I removed the curtain that separated the shower. There wasn’t any tub in the room since it wasn’t necessary.
