“Coffee?” Jake raised his cup. I frowned in reply. I got up too early, I should be in my bed till 9, and it’s only 7 o’clock. “Grace?” John looked at me with curiosity as he grabbed something in the cabinet. “Shouldn’t you be in bed? Playing with your pillows?” he asked, taking the milk out of the fridge. Apparently, the three of them knows that I wake up early, but I never leave the room till 9.
“Don’t pack members come here for breakfast? I mean don’t they come here often?” I asked them.
Jake shrugged, “They did, only not now, since it’s pretty dangerous and all.” He said, but I didn’t buy it.
“Spit it out.” I said, looking for something to eat in the fridge. “What? You don’t believe me?” he faked hurt. I spare him a glance “Not a thing.” Before returning back to look at the cabinets.
“You’re difficult.” He mumbled. “John?” I asked him, taking two eggs from the fridge, “You guys want?” I looked at them.
They nodded eagerly, I sighed “I won’t give it to you until you guys spill everything out.”
“Why can’t you believe us?” John grumbled.
“Because I don’t” I simply said.
I took out 6 eggs, 2 for the each of us, but if they don’t spill it out, I’m serious, I’ll eat every bit of this.
I cooked silently, the two guys still contemplating whether to spill it out or not. “Hmm, yummy.” I said as the scent filled my nose.
They were still silent as I ate my eggs. Their plates were beside me. I took another bite as I saw their eyes rake hungrily to my side, their supposed to be food.
“Okay fine.” They chorused as they grabbed those plates and devoured the eggs in no time. “Are you going to tell me now?” I asked them, they both shook their head, making me take their plates with half eaten eggs.
“NOO!” John said with mouthful of eggs.
“Tell me.” I said, they both sighed in defeat. “Alpha closed the pack house for a while.” Jake said, so I allowed him to grab his plate. “Until everything fall into place.” John said, taking his plate.
“Oh.. okay.” I said, confused.
Then Eric appeared in the doorway, looking like he just got out of bed. “Hmm, I smell something delicious.” He said, looking at me with a smile.
I frowned at him “You closed the pack house.” I said, making the two guys look at me in panic. “Jake and John.” He said in a threatening voice. “Eggs? Seriously? Why can you be traded so easily?” he said in disbelief. He sat beside me before taking my plate and fork. “Hey that’s mine!” I complained.
I rarely cook and when I do I don’t get to eat a plateful of my own food?
“It’s good.” He swallowed his food. “It’s just eggs.” I mumbled, taking out the juice.
When I looked back, the three of them were already rubbing their tummy, three empty plates in their front.
I made a ‘tsk’ sound before taking their plates and putting it in the sink. “You should cook more often.” Jake let out a burp.
“It’s morning.” I whined, “Too lazy.”
Eric stood up immediately, “Training, in 20 minutes.” He said.
“I cooked.”
“30.” He said before completely walking away.
“I should learn how to cook.” John said, looking at the place where Eric has been.
