I let out a shriek.
Am I dreaming? I asked myself.
And I freaked out when I heard a reply.
You're not. My wolf rolled her eyes.
A smile crept to my face as it finally sink in.
I got my wolf back!
My senses automatically enhanced. And I looked around the room.
Then I heard it.
The mouse's are running around the forest.
The flapping of the wings of a fly.
The buzzing of the wind that tries to enter the room from a small space in the window.
And the smell...
The fresh air from the trees,
an apple pie that's almost burned (I feel like it's Eric's' doing)
the different scent of every wolf within the borders... and...
I sniffed before sneezing.
I haven't taken a bath for almost 3 weeks.
"Seesh. Don't tell me everyone noticed how stinky I am." I looked at my clothes (which could be labeled as rugs.) with mud, twigs, oil and other things I don't even know.
You look like a mess. I agreed with my wolf.
I don't hate mirrors... but right now, I hated every bits of it. Or do I hate the fact that I looked like a homeless person living on the streets for 7 years.
I should take a bath now...
The cold water made me realize even more that my muscles were still aching.
I finished cleaning up after an hour or so.
I changed into a plain white shirt and shorts. I tied my hair into a ponytail 'cause I feel like I'm goingbto be sick.
You need to rest. My wolf said in a worried tone.
My heart warmed up when I felt her howl... she was really worried for me.
I walked down the stairs, my tummy rumbled as the smell of bacon reached my nose.
"Finally, she decided to show up." A sweaty Eric filled my view.
He's holding a spoon on his right hand while holding the pan on the other.
My eyes focused on the spoon.
"You are cooking bacon right?" I asked him, my mouth in an irritated firm.
He threw me a confused look, "Uh yeah." he said enthusiasticaly.
"You know what?... nevermind." I said before I made my way to the chair facing him.
How can someone cook bacon with just a spoon? A little spoon?
Oh well, as long as the bacon's fine.
flash back
I was looking up the sky, my hand fumbling over Luke's' ring... my ring.
We were both lying on the grass, simply enjoying each others' prescence.
"Look Luke!" I said, pointing at the clouds that are forming a thin line. I laughed out of nowhere, realizing what I've said.
Luke sat down, facing me. His nose was scrunched up in the cutest way possible. I kissed the bridge of his nose.
I couldn't help myself.
I laughed again. My mind contented with what I have... and so does my heart.
My laughter died down when Luke pecked me on my lips.
Thug
thug
thug
thug
"Oh look! A bacon." I squeaked. My cheeks went completely red as I looked back to the bacon shaped cloud.
Luke chuckled before I felt his lips on my cheeks, earning another flustered look from me.
"At least it looked like a bacon." I mumbled.
"Where's Luke?" I said out of nowhere.
Eric turned his face to me with a plate full of bacon.
"He went out to get some fresh air after... his head ached." He said, his eyebrows crunched up. Probably wondering about the truth behind what happened.
I changed the topic, "He knows you?" It was my turn to look confused.
He chocked on his own spit. And why is that?
He's hiding something Nathalie. My wolf mumbled and I could never agree more.
Nathan entered the room, then the air automatically tensed.
"You're back."He said with a heavy sigh like he've been holding it for a hundred years.
"Yeah." I whispered befor standing up and leaving them shocked at my sudden turn of attitude.
My wolf was terribly silent the whole time. I don't know what to do or say.
I was roaming around the streets when I faced a smile that I have not seen for ages.
My heart does a double jump as I saw Luke laughing.
But it wasn't because of me.
