12 - Who Is She?!

I will never have your heart.

Not in a million years.

I would always watch your back,

Walking away from me.

I guess giving up is the only answer,

For this non ending pain.

"When you eat ice cream, they freeze the sad emotions and let the happy-thoughts soldier take over you. Kaya karamihan sa mga tao kumakain ng ice cream 'pag malungkot." I looked up and saw Ashe holding a strawberry flavored ice cream. I closed my notebook and kept it in my bag.

Natawa nalang ako. "Really? Ang dami mong alam. Haha!"

He sat beside me. "Yeah. Totoo 'yan. Now eat this to lighten up your mood. It works, promise."

"And if it won't?" I asked as I take the ice cream from him.

"Then you've got some serious issues, lady." he said seriously that made me laugh. I saw him scrunch his brows. "Why are you laughing? Iisipin ko tuloy na nahihibang ka na."

Yeah. Nahihibang na ako sa sakit na nararamdaman ko.

"Baliw." ang tanging nasabi ko nalang saka kinain yung ice cream.

"Ako pa yung naging baliw. Tsk, tsk!"

I chuckled. "I'm sorry, Ashe."

"For what?"

"Aish. Do you still want me to name each of the horrible things I've done to you? You're making me feel more and more guilty." I pouted. Kanina pa nga ako binabagabag ng konsensiya ko, e. Sobrang nagiguilty ako sa ginawa ko sa kanya.

He chuckled. "It's okay, Niui. No need to apologize. Just bear in your mind that everything that I said wasn't true, okay? I don't even know what would I do to myself if you ever looked down at yourself."

Don't ever look down on yourself. 'Cause if you do, I'd think that it's my fault and I won't be able to forgive myself.

I closed my eyes to prevent the tears from falling down. Ano ba talaga ang problema ni Zero? One second, he cares and another, he would give me the cold treatment.

Why is he doing this?

I may have given up but I still need to find out what the answer to the question that has been bugging me for days.

Yes, he hates me because I'm ugly, cheap, and even dumb but I still need more. Call me stupid but I would really want to know his other reasons.

"Hey, still there? Napapadalas na ata ang pagiging tulala mo. Maybe I should call a psychologist to help you." Ashe said, jokingly that made me snap out of my thoughts.

"Don't you dare!"

"Ay? Insidious lang? Hahaha!"

Natawa nalang ako saka hinampas ang braso niya. "Loko ka, ah!"

He stopped laughing and just smiled. "It's good to see you smile. A real smile."

So... He could tell whether I am giving a real smile or not. Ikaw na  Ashe!

"Hindi naman peke ang mga ngiti ko, ah. Ang mahal-mahal kaya nito! He-he!" sabi ko.

"Yeah. Very expensive indeed. I would even pay millions, scratch that, gazillions just to see you smile again." he smiled.

"Ang yaman niyo naman ata, Ashe! Ibigay mo nalang 'yan sa'kin para mabili ko ng ice cream."

"If that would make you happy then ice cream it is. Lifetime supply of ice cream just for you. Baka tumaba ka niyan, ah."

I should be happy that someone's making an effort just to make me smile but I'm not. Lakas ng tama ni Zero sa'kin, e. As in tagos sa heart.

But I need to show them that I'm okay. I don't want to be a bother to them.

Tulad nalang ni Ashe. He even skipped classes just to comfort me. I mean, who would do that? We barely knew each other. Konti nalang talaga ang mga lalakeng gumagawa nito. And that makes them a TRUE MAN.

"Sus! Hindi ako tataba niyan! Malakas metabolism, e!" sabay pat sa tiyan ko.

"If you say so. Just don't blame me if ever you gained weight. Alright?"

"Aish! Napapansin kong lagi kang nag-eEnglish! Mag-Tagalog ka nga! Nasa Pilipinas tayo, pre!" sabi ko. Nagnonosebleed na kasi ako, e.

"Sorry. Can't help it. I've been speaking in English since I was a kid. Lagi kasi ako nila Mom pinapanood ng Barney and other kiddy english shows. They also made me read english books. And we stayed in America when I was 8 and came back here when I turned 13."

Nganga ako ngayon. Literally.

"Hey! Close your mouth. Baka may pumasok na langaw." hinawakan niya ang baba ko at itinaas ito.

"Umalis ka na nga! Magnonosebleed na ako maya-maya, e!" sabi ko habang tinutulak siya.

"OK, OK! Mag-tatagalog na ako." he held his hands up.

"Aish! Alis na. Pumasok ka na sa klase baka mapagalitan ka nang dahil sa'kin."

"Hindi ako aalis hangga't 'di ka pa okay." sabi niya.

Ang tigas ng ulo, ah! "Kakagatin kita!" nagakto ako na parang kakagatin siya kaya naman tumayo siya at saka gumawa ng cross gamit ang kamay niya.

"Kampon ng kadiliman! Lumayo ka!" sigaw ni Ashe.

Gusto kong tumawa pero pinagpatuloy ko lang yung acting ko. "I am gonna bite you! Rawr!"

He took a step backward. "Oo na. Oo na. Aalis na ako!" ayun tumakbo na.

Humagalpak ako ng tawa. Mental note: Scare Ashe to death if you ever want to make him leave.

Naagaw ang pansin ko nang may isang babaeng lumapit sa'kin with her hands on her hips. Tinignan ko siya mula ulo hanggang paa. Lahat ng mga suot niya BRANDED.

But the question is... "Sino ka? May kailangan ka ba? O sadyang nawawala ka?"

She smiled and the next thing she did happened in a flash. I was still in shock that I couldn't even move. This was unexpected!

I glared at her but she just grinned then took off her sunglasses. I gotta admit, she is one hell of a beautiful bitch.

"You'll get more of this slap if you still stick around with Zero." after she said that she immediately walked away.

What the?! Sino ba yun?! Langya siya! Kung makasampal naman siya parang close kami!
