Grace's POV
I woke up in the morning feeling cold. It was strange being alone. I got up off of my bed and walked over into the kitchen. The atmosphere was changed, it was scarier sort of. I wanted to be near someone, I didn't feel comfortable by myself, but I would be going to work. I would be near many people and, for once in the past few weeks, feel safe.
I walked into work, and everyone stared at me. They knew what happened, but I knew I would explain it to them anyway. I walked over to my office, and some of the female officers were gasping. It wasn't that big of a deal and I didn't understand why everyone was being like this.
I knew why when I walked over to the door. There was a note attached to it, and it had cursive letters on the front. The letters were the initials "E. N." It must have been Edward. I wondered what the letter could have been about. Slowly, I took the letter off of the door and brought it inside the office.
I sat down in my chair and opened the letter. " Brothers, all pair up; Bodies firm and tall. You only care to eat the solid food, and don't care to eat the soup. I'm assuming you can comprehend the answer. Would you like to accompany me for an oriental dinner at my apartment?" It was a dinner invitation.
I was in the mood for Chinese food. I knew it wasn't the healthiest, but it was tasty. I went over to Edward's lab after writing "Yes" on a sticky note. I couldn't hear anything inside, so I posted it to the door. I hoped he would see, as he was always in a rush.
A/N
Okay, I might write smut next chapter or the chapter after it, but I have never written smut before. Hopefully, it's not totally cringy and horrible. I don't want to make this one of those stories where it's all smut. I want it to have a storyline too.
