"So, you are going to be an assistant again? Booooring."
Grace looked in a makeup compact mirror and saw The Riddler sneering at her. His attire was messy, but she couldn't tell what he was exactly wearing because only his face was visible. His hair was prepped nicely and was jet black. His figure was a bit more muscular than usual.
"Good, you noticed my hair. Yes, I dyed it. Also, I've been working out. Turns out, aerobics class with Scarecrow isn't the best way to stay fit."
"I'm not letting you ruin this day for me. I want this more than anything I've ever wanted in my life."
"You won't want it anymore when you actually get it- you'll know what I mean soon."
Grace slammed the compact closed. She didn't want to get sidetracked. Her mind was focused on getting a job working for Oswald Cobblepot. The interview was at the Van Dahl mansion, where Oswald Cobblepot had been living. He was a crime boss, but if the people thought he was good enough, Grace did too. She got dressed in some clothes that she found in Wayne Manor. She assumed that they belonged to Martha Wayne. Bruce had let Grace stay in the manor until she felt confident enough to leave.
Alfred walked into the room just as Grace put her second heel on. "Ma'am, are you sure you don't want any tea before you leave? Master Bruce and I are going to have some." Grace shook her head and declined. With that, he smiled and shut the door. She was now free to leave. It was her time to shine for once, or would it be?
TIME SKIP
"Thank you so much for doing this interview Mr. Cobblepot, it's really an honor."
Grace's head had hurt when she got close to the Van Dahl Mansion. Her head hurt only when one thing was happening: The Riddler was trying to talk to her or actually was talking but she didn't want to hear it. She took a sip of tea that Oswald had poured for her. The pain was getting worse but she just decided to get through it.
