**TIME SKIP - 3 Weeks Later**

Grace had gotten in better condition since the experiment. Her skin had become pigmented and you could finally see the slight blue tint in her wrists which showed that blood was pumping in her veins. Her eyes still glowed bright green and had small brown streaks through it. She was being held in a special cell in the asylum, and it was one that no one except Hugo had access to. He stood outside of the cell at a small control panel.

"How are you feeling daughter?" She looked up at him curiously. "Hmm? Oh- I'm fine I guess." He smirked with satisfaction to know that it had worked. The impossible had been proven possible for once. This would be life-changing. "...But I'm not your daughter. My parents died when I started college." Professor Strange chuckled with amusement. "I don't know why you think this, I have told you many times that I am your father." She squinted at him. "Then why don't you look anything like me?"

He sighed and looked at her. "We have to perform some tests on you to see what you can do. I assume that you understand me?" She nodded slowly. "Alright, I will have two guards escort you down to the test chamber. We will begin." With that, he pressed a blue button and a buzz sounded. "Don't be too much trouble."

Edward, on the other hand, was getting tired of the place. He was tired of winning every day. It was fun to have his ego stroked the first few weeks, but then the excitement wore off. He realized the distaste in it all. There was drool all over the checkers, fights happening during reading time, and the guards were unbelievably moronic.

In fact, he had been meeting with a few prisoners to plan an escape. They were insane indeed but imagined the best of ideas. He had been trying to find a secret escape from the prison, and he thought he finally found it. With his knowledge of forensics, he and his group found a way to finally escape. It was the perfect plan. However, he would have to test it out.

Slowly, he went around a small section of Arkham with his equipment to find the secret entrance that he had observed Hugo Strange use before. He sprayed the walls with ammonia in a spray bottle. Slowly, he went over the areas with a UV-light emitting bug zapper and tried to find fingerprints on the walls.

The test chamber had been prepared. It was a large black-painted empty space, and it was lit well. Just as Hugo said, two guards escorted Grace down to the chamber. She was still unsteady from everything and had been interested in everything. Even the chipping of the paint on the asylum walls somehow confused her. It was a side effect to her resurrection, but there weren't any other visible side effects yet. She remembered almost everything from her past life and even the man who murdered her.

"Um, do you know a man named Edward?" She looked up at the guard while she was in her black leather catsuit that she had been purposely dressed in. It was quite tight and she did have trouble walking for a short time, but she got used to it. "Well, there is a fella named Edward Nygma here, but that's the only Edward I know. Why ya askin'?" The name rang in her head. It reminded her of her past life and the man who strangled her. She had remembered her love for him, and that she convinced herself that it was an accident, and that the voices in his head caused this.  Her eyes suddenly glowed green again. "No reason, just curious."

Once Grace was outside of the chamber door where the observation deck was, Hugo came out of the door. "Please, come in." She walked in like a frightened puppy. She didn't know what was happening, but Hugo did. "Go down those stairs and stand in the middle of the floor there." She nodded happily and slowly made her way down the small steps. "Ms. Peabody, please prepare step one."

Suddenly, there was a small pillar that came out of the floor. Grace looked at the floor in frustration. How could such a noticeable thing be so hidden? She reached to touch it, but Hugo spoke loudly over the microphone. "We have made some additions to your brain. You should have some interesting abilities. Please do whatever is necessary to harness them."

She stepped closer towards the pillar and noticed a vase. It looked like it was real, but she didn't know. "What do I do now?" She reached toward the vase with an open hand. She stepped closer by a few inches and tried to grab the object. At that moment, she found out what her ability was. "I suppose we found your ability. Very interesting indeed, don't you think Ms. Peabody?" Ethel looked with wide eyes at the woman in the catsuit and dabbed her forehead with a handkerchief. "Well darling, we should proceed. Great Job."

Hey guys! Thanks for 1.5k reads! I'm sorry for not updating very frequently but I promise I will soon. I will reveal Grace's power next chapter, and Edward won't be getting out of Arkham soon but I may do some time skips to speed things up. I hope you enjoy so far! Also, what do you think about the new cover and introduction/soundtrack top art? Please tell me, I would love to know! Finally, if you don't know what a catsuit is, it's basically a bodysuit but with long latex sleeves and legs.

xoxo
