Above a silver moon shone, creating shadows in the trees, and in the ThunderClan camp. The wind blew softly, trees swaying gently in the breeze.
Through the shadows slunk a silver she-cat, her soft grey fur shining in the pale light. Her amber eyes glanced around, then she quietly made her way to the dirt-place.
Wrinkling her nose, she made her way through to a wall of bramble, and pushed her way through to the outside of camp.
Once outside, the she-cat rushed through the forest, making her way as quickly and quietly as she could.
After what seemed like forever, the she-cat finally made it to her destination. She sniffed the air, obviously searching for something.
Then a shadow emerged from the bushes, and the silver cat took a step back.
The shadow emerged, to reveal a black tom, with blue eyes and a scar across his face. He didn't have a tail, but instead a small stump where it should be.
The she-cat rushed to the tom, rubbing affectionately against him. "Howler! You made it!" She then took a step back. "Why were you gone for the last moon? I was worried."
"I'm sorry, but duties as deputy kept me busy." Howler apologized. "But how are you Featherleap?"
Featherleap sighed, looking down at her paws. "I'm expecting kits, Howler."
"That's wonderful news, why don't you seem happy?"
"I am, I am. It's just -" she took in a deep breath, looking up at the tom. "What will the clan go if they find out they are half-clan? What will happen to me? I can't let that happen..."
"I understand your worries, but everything is fine. You'll see." Howler said, licking Feathetleap's cheek softly. "And they will grow up to be the best warriors in the clan."
