i walked into the school proudly. My friends had my back. I could feel everyone's eyes on me. They cleared away like in the movies. I reached my locker and looked around. Everyone diverted their eyes.
I laughed. "Did the news really spread that fast?" I asked Tessa. She shrugged. Luke passed by, talking to Naomi. i caught his eye though, nothing was said.
Strangers walked past, "Oh, my God, it's Sydney Taylor. She's the girl who broke Luke Hayes heart." One said.
"What an awesome bitch." the other replied.
My group looked at me and laughed. We split up for our classes but later met, as usual, in the band room. But before that I had two encounters. One not so bad, and a terrible one.
"You broke up with Luke?" Matt asked. I nodded. "Geez, Sydney. I guess our talk had an effect."
I nodded, "Yes it did."
Another voice came up, "Wow, Sydney, you left Lukey right open." Naomi.
I groaned. "Naomi, how's it going?" Matt asked. She completely ignored him.
"Sydney, I'd like to thank you for doing this favor. I don't have to do anything to you anymore." Naomi continued.
"Like you would." I muttered. Matt sent me death glares saying to be careful.
Naomi left easier than usual. "Did you do it for her? Or for yourself?" Matt questioned to make sure.
"For me, a little to get f'in Naomi off my back. But mostly me." I reassured. I gave him a hug for his help, not something you'll normally see me do. I rushed back to the band room. But you know that things never go too easily.
"Okay guys, ready to star-? What the hell are you here for?" I asked Luke. Who was sitting on the couch.
