"You had to bring us into this? God, Sydney if I come to you with bruises you better do..." Chase yelled. He seemed very un-Chase-like.

I sat on the couch, surfing the web. "Do what?"

"I don't know...something." There it was. The good old dumb Chase. I don't know why he was worked up about this. Seriously, I had other problems.

I heard the door close and looked up. "Thanks babe for breaking us up back there." Unfortunately, the old Matt came back. He sat uncomfortable close to me and wrapped his arm around me.

"Matt, me saving your butt doesn't mean I'm your 'babe'." I said through gritted teeth.

The rest of the gang joined us. "The news of the 'fight' is all over school. Syd, you're a bigger hero now because you stopped it." Tessa told me, she sat in front of me on a box. I tried to signal with my eyes to her. I needed her to get Matt away from me. She changed the subject. "Matt, what are you doing here?"

"Is there a problem with me being here?" He asked her with a fake niceness.

Carter faced him. "In fact, there is." Did I mention that Carter and Matt are not so great friends? I thought it was kind of obvious.

Matt stood up and crossed his arms. "I wasn't asking you, now was I?"

Carter matched his postion. "Yeah, but the is MY band room."

I sighed and stood up. "Break it up guys. You guys' random hate for each other is getting old." I am serious about it being random. I asked Carter one day why he and Matt didn't get along. He said that he just hates him. I asked him why, he replied that he didn't know. I probably had the "Really?" look on my face.

"Miss Popularity got us a larger than usual crowd today." Brian said. All of us looked towards him.

"A little random there, Brian." Tessa said, looking back at him.

He just shrugged. "You have to admit that, though, there was more than our usual crowd." Our usual crowd were the usuals at Chase's uncles small coffee shop that we performed at every two months.

"It was a completely different crowd." Kira commented. There was a silence after that. The conversation kind of went nowhere.

We all slowly left. "Carter, you're giving me a ride home, right?" I asked.

He nodded, "I have football practice first , though. God, I hope your ex doesn't condemn me."

"You think coach'll let me stay and watch?" I said, I didn't feel like staying in the band room by myself.

Carter nodded again. "He can't say no to you, as far as everyone else thinks. But you have a just excuse anyways." He put his arm around me, like a best friend.

I smiled. "I hope all this easy going isn't going to go to my head."

Author's Note: Slow chapter, I'll probably pick it back up next one... You guys needed a chapter, this was a filler until I could formulate a better idea. This was only a filler until like the last couple paragraphs.
