"I just don't get it, why would the killer go after you?" Aubrey asks as we all walk down the halls hurriedly towards our class.
"I don't know, but I can't help but think this it has something to do with my dad." I say and she stops walking.
"Your dad?" Diego asks confused.
"Hannah don't be ridiculous." Randy says in a whisper as other students walk into class. "Your dad is, dead right?"
"Look I'm just saying, I don't know anything about my father's death, the killer said he lives in my house too and he's only targeting me. It's not so crazy that my dad could be alive and he could be doing this. I mean I don't know the man. Think about it."
"Am I interrupting something important?" Mrs. Adams, our psych teacher says sarcastically and then gestures with her head for us to get in class.
I spend the entire time thinking about what I said before the class started. I haven't thought it through, but for now he's the only suspect that could actually have any reason to come after me, for whatever happened when was a kid. Unless there's some other reason all this is happening.
The rest of the day goes by uneventful, I get no phone calls or notes the whole day. After gym, which is the last period, I change back into my clothes after I clean up and hurry back home while some other girls head for the showers. I prefer to shower in the comfort of my home.
I head towards my car in the parking lot when my phone rings and stops me from walking any further.
"What." I say once I answer after seeing the all too familiar UNKNOWN flash across my screen.
"I missed you today." He says.
"What the hell do you want? Are you gonna tell me I look good in my outfit today? I know you're watching me you asshole."
"You know why I enjoy talking to you? Because you challenge me, you're not like those girls people see in movies, you're smart Hannah and I know you'll figure this out. Especially with your friends who will always guide you through the right direction." He says and I almost see the smirk on him.
"Why do you want me to figure it out huh? If you want me to know who you are why don't you just tell me." I say turning around in circles trying to see if there's anyone who is watching me.
"You'll know when I want you to know. Right now all I want you to do is panic every time your phone rings, I want you to suspect everyone around you until there's no one left you trust." He says with so much anger in his voice.
