Trembling a bit, Lara, nine years old, comes to a halt in front of the building, one that appeared looming and humongous compared to her shy, small self. Actually, Lara was not that short for her age, however with the nerves eating her through the inside, she seemed to be trying to shrink into herself, as if a snail trying to hide inside its shell from what was before her.

As she looked at the building before her, she gulps, and grips harder onto the bag that she held in her right hand, a dark purple one she always used to carry her dancing material. Her hair is pulled tight up in a ballet bun, her hair as stretched as it could possibly get. She remembered the first time her mother did her bun for her first ballet class. She nearly cried as her hair was pulled back, the feeling being that it would be pulled off right out of her scalp, leaving her bald. However she was now more than used to it.

Lara should be going inside, but her legs felt weak, glued to the spot as she looked straight up at the building. Her mother, beside her, notices her sudden halt, and concern instantly takes over her features as she looks down at her daughter.

"Dear, are you sure you want to do this?" Natália asks, placing her hand on her daughter's shoulder, a worry that had been bugging since the day Lynne Page scouted Lara on that dance school performance taking over. She had always had a dream of being a professional ballet dancer herself, but due to her parents' lack of support towards the career choice, she decided to be a real state agent. When Lara was old enough, she put her in ballet classes, but she promised herself that it was only a try out. If Lara did not like it, she would not return. She would never let herself be one of those parents that made their children live their dream for them, and she would hate herself if she pressured Lara in any way.

However, Lara fell absolutely in love with ballet. Not only that, she had a natural talent, and became far more advanced than her classmates, causing her teachers to change her to more advanced classes as well.

Anyone could see the passion in Lara's eyes when she danced, her eyes lit up all of the features of her face and her smile. She practically glowed when she danced.

But still, sometimes her mother worried that her long lost dream pressured Lara somehow.

With the caring touch, Lara looked up towards her mother, and she nods frantically. "Yes mum, I really, really, really want to do this!" She says absolutely determined.

The young girl looks back towards the building, and it seems like all of the determination and the fire that had been sparked inside her hazel eyes are seeped right out of her in a heartbeat. "I'm just scared. What if I'm not good enough? What if they realize that they were wrong in giving me the role?" Lara admits.

Natália looks at her daughter's defeated posture, and she kneels down on the street, so she could have the same eye level as Lara had. She smiles sympathetically towards her, "Você é o suficiente Lara (You are enough Lara), if you were not they wouldn't have given you the role. Also, imagine if what you fear, happens. Well, then you will have to practice more. Mesmo que te digam que você não é o suficiente: se esse realmente é o seu sonho, você luta por ele, não importa o que as pessoas te digam. Você não deixa ninguém te fazer sentir que você não consegue, porque você consegue sim.(Even if they tell you that you are not good enough: if this is your dream, you fight for it, no matter what people tell you. You don't let anyone make you feel like you can't reach it, because you can)"

Listening to her mother's words, Lara nods, and smiles at her. The determined spark that had extinguished was again present in her hazel eyes, even when she faced the building once again. It didn't scare her anymore, her mother's words had reached her gravely. Natália had no clue at that time, but the words she had just said to her daughter were ones that Lara would carry cloe to her heart for her whole life.
