Lara's POV:

I can see the silver glint of the gun inside his jacket, and I know it is my only hope. I forcefully relax under his touch and daunting green gaze, giving up my integrity as a form of escape. As he notices my newfound willingness, Warner's hands travel along my body, enjoying the curves, bringing me closer.

And he brings his lips onto mine.

I kiss back hungrily with what I hope to communicate passion, so he would be fooled, and I could get under his jacket and to his weapon. What I didn't expect was to find a spark in that kiss, one that made me want to pull him closer, enjoy his touch, take in his taste. And so I do. He tastes like peppermint, smells like gardenias, his arms are strong and sweet against my skin.

But I need to get this over with. Now.

I reach for his buttons, and he seems more than eager to allow me to open his jacket. He lifts me by the waist and hoists me against the wall, and I wrap my legs around him. Little did he realize, however, was that he just gave me the perfect angle to slip my hand in and get the gun. I rip open his jacket in desperation. Kissing him, I lean just a little bit lower and-

My hands wrap around the gun.

He freezes. He pulls back. I watch his face contort into different forms of confusion, dread, anguish, horror and even anger. He drops me to the floor, but it is already late. My finger pulls down the trigger. He drops, blood dripping, and I stand victorious, because this time it isn't Adam's blood. I stand still for a moment, taking in the scene, letting realization settle on the fact I had just shot Warner.

And with his gun in my hands, I run.

"And...CUT!"

Similarly to a spell being broken, David and I return to our usual selves. Except it isn't a spell, but just us playing our roles. I run over back to him and reach out my hand to help him up, which he accepts with a sweet smile on his face.

It is the middle of April, and we had been called back for some reshoots. Turns out, some scenes weren't exactly what the directors wanted to achieve, and so they decided to try again. Today David and I were asked to redo this scene, as it is the first physical intimate contact that Warner and Juliette share in the books, and so in the movies as well. Although at this point Warner is just an antagonist, it is important that the chemistry between the couple is highlighted since now.

"Did I exaggerate? You know, with the tongue?" He quietly asks me, with his head lowered. He rubs his hands against his military-like jacket, distracting of the awkwardness of the question by focusing on getting rid of the fake blood off his hands.

I hold in my chuckles so as not to make him too self-aware and insecure. "You were fine, David" I encourage.

It is funny because David is so different from the character he plays. While Warner comes off as majorly manipulative and cold and cunning (at least in the first book and movie), David is just a clumsy, slightly awkward and happy-go-lucky boy who has just graduated high school. Besides his golden hair and emerald eyes and ripped figure that was as if directly taken from the descriptions of his character, he is incredibly talented, and I can't imagine anyone else playing the role. Although young, he tries his best to be as professional as ever, and he is a great person to work with.
