Midnight gave way to dawn,
Just like when I set you free.
Now that you're gone,
I wonder when will I be?
The loud crackle of lightning,
And the pain of a heart that's been broken.
The sound of my weeping,
As I felt my heart being taken.
The pain was so unbearable,
But I knew that this was just a storm passing.
That one day I'll be able,
To smile without crying.
Just like when midnight gave way to dawn,
I'll set myself free.
From the heartbreak you gave me,
And the misery you brought me.
