"My love, are you alright?" He asked. He whispered those words so solemnly. He looked down on the pair of brown shoes that accompanies him whenever he goes before he looked once again to the girl he loves.
She never fails to make him bewildered everytime he sees her. She looked so beautiful each time.
But now...
Her once lively eyes were dull. It never sparkles anymore. And he thought he cannot find the galaxies he once discovered underneath it.
Her once tan skin has turned pale, and her moisturized lips has turned dry.
Her cute button nose although she tried to hide with make-up, he could still see the red blush in it.
She was so beautiful before.
And she remained so beautiful still.
Despite her flaws and weaknesses, or the cuts in her wrists she failed to hide beneath her series of bracelets.
Where was the girl he loves?
She looked at him with those blank irises. He couldn't help but cry. He missed her.
He wants to see her smile. Even for the last time. Even if this was just a dream before the shadows take her away from him.
Before the sadness envelops her.
Before they bury her ten feet underneath.
He wants to see her smile.
"Why?" He whispered, voice cracking, as he put both of his hands in his chest to stop the pain engulfing in there and he tried to cover the muffled sobs containing his bare mouth.
"Why didn't you tell me? I thought you loved me? Why?!" He kneels before her as he cries. For the last time, he wished to see her smile.
"Why don't you smile anymore?" He asked.
He remembered. It was her smile that took his very breath when he first saw her.
"I don't know how anymore." Finally, she spoke.
She just took a single glance at his crumbling form before she turned her back away from him.
She slowly walked away.
But amidst her adventure, she stopped.
She looked back at me and I could see a faint, hollow, curve in her dry lips.
And then,
Ever so slowly,
She slowly walked into the light.
She looked like an angel.
She was once my angel.
She was so beautiful before.
And she remained so beautiful still.
