Insanity is such a big word,

and yet I wore it everyday as if it was my mask.

Told everyone I was afraid of swords,

and yet I hold the tip of it even if you won't ask.

My soul often told me that they are wrong,

That it is true that people could never be right.

I would sing of nothings as if it was my favorite song,

The empty streets would often comfort me at night.

People are never meant to be animals,

But our kind are monsters,

They would destroy anything with chaos,

And look at someone as a beautiful disaster.

Honor is everything in this world,

And title means everything.

Education is considered to be gold,

you are nothing if you have nothing.

Laugh and be branded as a joke,

Frown and be considered a clown.

This world is sinking where black seems to soak,

Ecstasy seems to be the shining glory held onto crown.

He was everything to me,

And yet he was gone like the wind.

My heart is locked where there is no key,

And my mind contemplates of right things to sin.

In this world where everything is fake,

I refuse to succumb in this shapeshift reality,

If this is what it means to be alive,

Then I would rather embrace insanity.
