As I looked at you from afar,
I saw you are happy and that made me smile.
I took one last look and drove my car,
Without noticing tears spilling as I pass every mile.

I thought it won't hurt anymore,
I thought I could handle the pain.
But deep down in my heart's core,
Is a voice shouting that I should stop being insane.

You made me feel love for the first time,
Treated me like an emerald dime.
Said we can make it if we would just try,
But all those promises are just lies.

You found someone,
And she's beautiful.
You told me that she was your sun,
But haven't you told me I was your moon?

A series of questions seemed to drown me,
I started to question myself.
Did you even love me?
Or I was just an ordinary book in one of your shelves?

My heart is a traitor,
My head, a servant.
My mind in chaos,
And my body is under your deceitful chant.

You were so cruel to abuse my heart,
Who seeks for your warmth despite the coldness you bestow.
But if you asked for another chance,
My traitorous mouth will never say "No."
