Was there a lifetime waiting for us in a world where I was yours? Will our love triumph even with the scattering waves of the shore?
Would the toss of promise mean that what we had wasn't by force?
Why do you keep on hurting me if you always say that you love me more?
Amidst my shattered reality I could've sworn I saw you turned,
A teardrop falls in your once bright eyes.
I know for a fact that this love of ours would burn,
But you held me close as I fell apart under the night skies.
In every kiss we shared was a glimpse of what once were us,
You're everything that I ever needed in this damned world.
In every touch I wonder if all of these are just lust,
But these emotions, no matter what I do, swirled.
Into the nothingness I ventured,
I keep passing empty hallways to search for what I lost.
I cried and begged God that my prayers would be heard,
All of these feelings but at what cost?
We see people in every promise they make,
We accept their love that we think we deserve.
Not one flaw is hidden for their sake,
But like the moon, every phase seems different with every passing curve.
I've realized something as I stare beyond the deep blue bay.
You and I are not meant to be soulmates.
Love is not enough for two people to stay,
I know for a fact that by then it's too late.

Just another snippet of my thoughts after I watched movies and series to keep me calm.
