I felt disoriented at breakfast. It was unusually quiet and the royal family weren't there as the had been every day since the first day I had been here.

No one had bothered to let us know what had happened the night before but everyone at the table were curious.

Small talk between each other only confirmed no one knew what had happened and we could only guess why even done of the soldiers seemed curious too, didn't all soldiers know what had happened?

The caption weren't there either and it was only a few royal guards present today, they used to be a dozen but now the number were greatly reduced.

But I guess it made sense as the Royal Family weren't there.

I had spent most of last night since I had woken painfully awake and listening to the sounds that could be heard trough the castle walls.

Shouting and heavy footsteps could be heard but as the walls were thick no voices or conversations had been heard.

What was it that had kept the entire castle awake last night? What did the captain of the royal guard think about it?

Ruby

"How can you let her stay here!? She's a danger to everyone! Didn't last nights episodes learn you anything?!" Mahogany screamed at my dad.

Her black properly cut hear bounced of her shoulders as she wildly gesticured towards me.

Carnelian my nosy and incredibly stupid half brother sat in the chair, he was grumpy as he didn't knew what his parents were fighting about.

He only knew I had done something last night that had made his mother extremely riled up and he seemed to find pleasure in my every failure so an opportunity like this was the best he could wish for.

His mom wanted me gone as he had always wanted. They had always wanted me fine and now when I had done wrong they jumped onto the opportunity to get me out if the castle, if they could chose I would have been long dead.

Dad is the only one keeping me alive and in the castle. On a miracalious way he had even been able to hold my position glued to me, I hadn't lost my job yet.

"The doctor managed to anesthetize her so she didn't cause much harm and we will be able to prepare so last nights episode won't happen again" Garnet said calmly.

"She's an uncontrollable monster! You can't prevent last nights death to happen, she's unpredictable and dangerous to everyone in the castle!" the Queen exclaimed heatedly.

I sat still by the table, letting them talk as I knew my interference would only make it worse. I hoped my dad could calm her down enough to give me another chance so we could solve the problem before it was to late.

Last night I had turned into a beast and killed a guard that had gotten In my way before I had been put to sleep.

Havoc had been taking over the castle as guards had been hurrying back and forth as they were confused and disoriented, not knowing what to do.

The event had probably kept the whole castle awake but no one knows what had really happened but a few persons that had been allowed to know.

Pretty soon it was clear I would need to find my ring or her a new one as quick as possible or I would have to leave my position and the castle for good. The dead had been quieted down really fast but now my dad had a fight with the queen as he stuck up for me and tried to help me.

I lived him, he always wanted the best for me and were always worried about my health.

Mahogany and Carnelian had always seen me as a threat to the crown as I was the kings offspring and all it would take for me to get the crown was killing the prince and claiming my true bloodline.

They didn't seem to notice I didn't have any want to the crown or the kingdom, I liked my current job and I didn't want all the responsibility the kingdom would give me.

That's why my stepmother and half-brother always had hated me since they had first laid eyes on me that day dad had taken me here when mom had died.

Mom had gotten killed by beasts and the bite I had gotten from the attack had left me with the curse.

Every night I would lose control and turn into a beast, I would kill anyone in my way and stop at nothing. The ring had kept me in control so I hadnt shifted but now I had lost my ring.

I had no idea where it could be, I only knew I had had it before the ball bit I don't remember if I had it on the ball and didn't have any idea where I could have lost it.

It was special as it came from another kingdom, they had put a spell on the ring. It had been expensive but it had been worth it but now it was lost again and innocent would be killed if we didn't solve this problem soon.

Mahogany thought the best idea was to kill me or ban me from the kingdom with my dad heated disagreed with.

They had argued for hours about what to do, unfortunately time was ebbing out and the training would soon begin.

I was the trainer that would prepare the competitors to the competition and the training would begin after dinner so I had a really tight schedule.

I needed to eat breakfast and begin investigate my newest prisoner that would soon meet trial and I needed better proof.

Then I would be at the training, I reducing myself and begin the first training to the competition this year, I felt slightly nervous.

I gently let my fingers brush over Sheilas stomach, it was big now and she was late.

The cubs should be here by now, was something wrong? Kaden sat at my side, he knew I was controlling if everything was okay so he let me touch her.

As a wolf they wouldn't normally do that but I'm part of the pack now, the pack that was soon growing bigger.

Well, maybe they would come soon. I only hoped I would be here when it was time, they would have a bigger chance to survive if I helped.

Suddenly the doors opened behind me and a guard stood there. "I'm here to escort you to the training" he said and I nodded.

An hour before I had eaten dinner and it was logical to have the late training now, what would it be like?

Rising from the ground I brushed Kaden down the back. He posted himself protectively before Sheila, effectively blocking the guards way to the vulnerable wolf.
