Ruby
I swallowed weakly and stared at Jasper's angry face. He really did think I was a monster, that I wanted to kill these people.
Maybe he was right, maybe Jadeline was right. Why hadn't I left ling ago if I knew I was a dancer to everyone as ling as I was here?
Why hadn't I done anything to keep everyone safe? It's my job so why am I still here and let myself kill people?
My years was still dripping down from my cheeks and into the floor but I let them do that.
I held the fighting Jasper under a firm grip on my hypnosis. I made him think he was frozen in the place and couldn't leave.
Determined to talk to him but still scared of what he would think about this I decided to take his ability to speech until I had explained everything, I wanted him to know before he judged me.
So I made him think there was no need to talk but I let him have his thought, I wanted him to be able to decide what he thought off me for himself and I admired his bravery as he fought for control over the hypnose.
My power was strong as I could easily control him if I wanted but I didn't want to, I felt so bad, like the monster I was but I needed him to listen to me.
"I'm going to explain everything to you now because I want you to know. Then I will let you go and you can do whatever you want with my information, you don't even need to believe me and if you don't I understand why" I said and he stared at me, his eyes narrowing into slits.
He didn't believe me, bit I didn't need that. I only needed him to listen to my explanation, I needed to at least try.
Jasper
My head was spinning around as I fought for control over my body and two parts of me was fighting against each other.
One part of me wanted to give her a chance and listen to her explanation, I still cared for her and it wanted to hear what she had to say that possibly could forgive what she had done.
The other part off me only wanted to run and warn everyone that would listen, telling them how dangerous she was. Hopefully they could get her down without anyone hurt so she could get what she deserved.
"When I w-was thirteen my mother and I was attacked by wolves" she began shakily.
She looked at her feet and I frowned at the information. What did that had to do with her killing people? However I didn't interrupt her, probably because of her hypnosis.
"But it wasn't ordinary wolves, it was a kind of demon wolves. They killed my mother and bit me but I survived" she said and my thoughts changed course.
I had always been interested in the wildlife and especially wolves as I had wanted to learn more about my own so I had heard of these kind of demonic wolves before.
They only exists in the forest at the border of our kingdom and that forest reaches into the Kingdom of Illusions or dreams as it is often called.
These demon wolves is rare and no one knows to much about them as those who have encountered them died unexplainably or survived with permanent damages.
These damages where also rare and it often caused a sickness called possesion by the local people.
After someone that had miraculously survived survived the village had been attacked at night and later it was known that it was the infecteds doing.
But the possessed, creative name I know, didn't have any memory of attacking people. Seemed to be an effect of the disease.
Was it possible that the captain suffered from the same disease? Ruby seemed to notice the wheels turning in me head and her eyes shone up with hope that I might give her another chance.
