Ruby
Later that day after the training that wasn't even training, just information, I knocked on the doors to my fathers rooms.
I prayed that Mahogany wouldn't be there so I could talk to my dad in privacy without her snooping around.
The door opened and I stared into my dads brown eyes. He seemed surprised by me standing there and I understood him, he hadn't sent after me and normally I don't go to him out of the blue.
In that moment he didn't look like Garnet the king of the Kingdom Of Strength or as it was most often called Kingdom Of Submissives, he looked more like my dad.
He looked like the dad that had visited me and mom in the village so often he could, everytime he got time over for us.
He seemed to understand what I wanted as he stepped back and let me in trough the door.
I took in the room and figured we were alone as he closed the doors behind us.
When I turned to him I didn't need words, he understood me perfectly and wrapped his arms around me holding me tight.
"It's going to be alright, maybe you can't get the ring back but you can get a new one and it will keep you from shifting, you will get your control back" he said, the exact words I needed to hear that wasn't a lie.
My old ring meant much to me, he had given me it as a gift and it helped me to keep control. He had got it from the king of the Kingdom Of Magic.
The king and my dad were friends, I didn't like the king at all tough he always were nice and friendly I knew he weren't a good person under the facade but as long as he didn't hurt my dad I was okay with him.
"Everything is going to be okay" my dad wishepered as he soothingly stroked my back. I knew I wasn't completely true but I let the words wash over me and calm me down, give me hope.
Dad sat at the edge of my bed when I awoke. The duvet coating my naked body as I slowly sat up pulling it with me.
My right foot hurt, that's where the chain had been, keeping me in place in my room.
"What happened?" I asked. Tough I were awake most of the night I didn't remember anything when I shifted. Hopefully I didn't hurt anyone.
Looking at the wall I had been chained to I saw marks, scratch marks from my claws from when I tried to get away from the chains.
My dad looked sad and grim, it hurt to see him like that. His daughter were a monster if course he would be dissapointed in me. Why did he let me stay?
"You didn't hurt anyone but we were forced to knock you out" he said and my head shoot up to him, I groaned as pain shoot up my neck. What did i do that forced them to do that?
"The Hamill kid's wolves were howling all the night and became more hysteric when you howled with them" he said and my eyes grew wide.
Did the wolves feel me being restless? They were ordinary wolves and as I were a ghost wolf I'm the superior art. Are they afraid of me and warning everyone or why were they howling?
"You were making such noise we put you to sleep and as soon as you were out they stopped howling, immediately" he said and I looked at him, shocked.
What did that mean? "You mean they feel me? Why do they howl?" I asked him, they put me out? That probably explained the pain in my neck. If I were clawing at the floor it must have been hard to get close enough to anesthetize me.
"We don't know what it mean Ruby" he said apologetically and I nodded. I'm a monster and the wolves even reacted to that.
Garnet didn't say anything, he just pulled me close and I hugged him back, crying silently into his shoulder.
Jasper
I rubbed my eyes tiredly, Kaden and Sheila had kept me awake most of the night so I hadn't gotten to much sleep.
I had awoken when Kaden jumped onto the bed and had ran right over my stomach to the other side.
The wolves had been howling like maniacs, running around the room without stopping.
Sheila had been slow, her stomach was big and I knew it was close, any day now.
They had acted like that some times before, when a stranger had walked up to out house and greeted us, turning out to be a friend of my fathers.
They had warned me about a new, possibly dangerous person or thing approaching then.
Last night they had done the same but what were they warning me about? Who did they warned me from?
I hadn't figured that out but then a strange thing had happened. An answering howled had sounded and the weird thing was, it was located inside the castle.
The howl had been incredibly strong and had made my wolves go crazy and running around my rooms like maniacs.
It was a wolf, not the castles dogs or anything like that. A wolf, inside the castle. I hadn't seen a wolf accompany anyone, did they have the same rules as me. We're they keeping the wolf away from people or was it a wild wolf? But then how the hell did a wild wolf get into the castle, it seemed like it was taken care of tough.
As soon as the other wolfs howling died down my wolves abruptly stopped howling, like you had blown out a candle they just stopped and laid down like nothing had happened.
When I had woken up again I were so tired and had practically stumbled down to the breakfast. Everyone seemed tired today and some people even gave me accusing stares, like Jadeline and Hyacinth.
It seems like I wasn't the only one that had been disturbed by the howls mostly made from my wolves. It also looked like everyone were blaming me now, not good.
The good thing were I wouldn't be the only one that probably fell asleep on the training today. What would Ruby think about everyone being lazy? Maybe she too had been awake all night?
