Chapter 59

Dinah POV

"You named your next album after me?" I say as I look over at her as she drives down the highway. "Yeah." "Why?" "Mama I'm hungry." "We'll get food on the way home princess. And because all the songs I've been writing are about you or about us. And I just figured why not name it after the person that inspired me for the songs." She says as she looks over at me and then back at the road. "Why not name it something that's not my name?" "Because it wouldn't make sense if I drop it on your birthday and your name not be the name of the album." Wait what? "So your telling me that it's dropping on the day of my birthday? As in June 22?' She chuckles. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure that, that is the day you were born baby girl. The label wants me to drop it during sometime that week so I figured why not on your birthday, think of it as a birthday present. Well one of them at least." 
"Do I get to hear it before my birthday?" "No but I will let you listen to one of the songs before how about that?" I nod. "Can we go to my parents house? I left Kalia's bear there. That's the reason why she hasn't been really sleeping that much." She looks at me and then back at the road as she looks into the mirrors switching lanes. "Because of a bear? I was going to head to August's house to see what's up with him because me nor Chris has heard from him since the day I got arrested." She says as she lets her right arms go from the wheel. "Yeah you know August got it for her. It's like her favorite thing. She can't sleep without it. You can drop me and the kids off and I'll ask my dad or mom for a ride home." She sighs as she switches lanes and gets off on an exit.
"Fine. Since it's for baby girl I'll drop you off, but I'll pick you up. I'm not going to bother your parents on dropping you off when I'm not going to be that long." "Have you tried asking Ally? We all know that's her boyfriend and that they're dating but just don't want to be public because nobody would picture them together." "No but I know that August isn't the type to be open about his problems. Even though Ally is his girl he still not going to tell her everything. I've seen it before. Plus I'm surprise he has a girl, let alone Ally. That man don't just put his lips on anything, so he says." She says as she chuckles a little at the end.
"If your say so. But I just say ask her. She's been spending a lot of time with him lately. Especially whenever he's out here." I say as I pull out my phone when I hear it ding. I unlock it to see a text from my mother.

Are you coming to get Kalia's bear or do you want me to drop it off? I know that little girl is having a tough time without it.

Me and the kids are stopping by so we'll come get it then.

"Baby you don't have to stop for food. My mom cooked." She nods her head as she turns into my childhood neighborhood. Her phone starts ringing and Chris' number pops up. "Baby answer that." I nod my head and answer the phone. "Hello?" "Hey Dinah, Y/N/N with you?" "Obviously if I answered her phone, but she's driving." "Aight tell her to meet me at Aug's. He wants us to swing by." "She was heading there after she dropped me and the kids off." "Okay. I'll see you." "By- asshole." I mumble the last word after hearing him hang up on me. "Chris said that August wants you to go by his house." "Okay."
       She pulls into the driveway and parks her car behind the Range Rover I just bought my dad. She puts the car in park and undoes her seatbelt and get out. I follow suit and open the door to the mini van. We bought it a week before the kids were born because Y/N felt like it was safer and better if we bought it because of the twins. She grabs a sleeping Cheylise and Kaleo's car seat while I grab Kalia's. We close the doors by the button and walk up the pathway. The door opens revealing Regina and Seth. "Gina what did I tell you about opening the door before the guest arrives at the door?" Y/N asks her as she makes her way into the house with me following behind.
"That it's not safe and that I could get hurt. I'm sorry." "It goes for you too Seth." She says as she tries to point a finger at him. We all walk into the living room and Y/N puts Kaleo down on the floor and Cheylise on the couch. She walks to me and pecks my lips. "I won't be long. Most likely the longest would be let's say an hour and a half." I just nod my head and pull her into another quick kiss. "I'll see you later." I nod and she goes to leave.
"Was that Y/N?" I nod my head. "Yeah she has to go to August's house. I guess it's really important." She looks me in my eyes and points to the couch. I sit down and pull Cheylise onto my lap and play with her hair as she sleeps. "What the matter?" My mom says as she sits on the couch besides me. "It's just... I feel like it's really bad news. Ally has been spending all her time with him. And before she was never like that." "Maybe it's because she really likes him. You was like that with Y/N. Shit when you guys were separated because management she was all you talked about." "I get that. But this all started acting like this after she had a certain phone call with him." "Then maybe it is. You won't know until he or Y/N says something to you." "Mami?" Cheylise sits up in my lap and I hold her closer. "Hey princess. You still hungry?" She nods her head. "Come on let's go put some food in your tummy before the tummy monster comes out." My mom says as she stands up and takes Cheylise from me. "And take those kids out the car seat!" My mom yells walking away.
