Y/N POV

"Baby go get dressed the kids are dressed and fine. Kathy and I will put them in their car seats." Yes nurse Kathy from when Cheylise was in the hospital to help us. I requested for her to be Dinah's nurse and lucky enough she worked on this floor. "Go ahead Dinah and your looking at experts here." Kathy says. Dinah nods and smiles grabbing the bag containing her stuff and walking into the bathroom to take a shower. "Alright babies time to get out of here so your mother can stop complaining about hospital food."
It's been two days since the kids were born and today we finally get to take them home. Staying in the hospital with Dinah and helping with the kids was something else. The day after Kalia and Kaleo were born my family had landed out here and came to see them. Every time they had to teach Dinah how to change diapers, use the breast pump and all that my grandmother, my mom, and Milika would tell her different on how to do it and it was so funny to see Dinah's confused face. I ended up telling Dinah to just listen to her mother seeing she was the one that recently had a child. No offense to my grandmother and my mother.
Now we are getting ready to leave. Cheylise is with her godmother at the house with the rest of the girls and most likely our families. Cheylise wanted to throw a party for her new siblings so I said why not. Hopefully everyone is there already. And I'm planning to make a big surprise happen at it too.  I've been stalling on doing this since Dinah was 5 months.

FLASHBACK

"Hi Y/N." Milika says as she opens the door and pulls me into a hug. She open the door wider and moves to the side as I make my way through the door. I walk into the living room to see Gordon sitting on the couch playing with Seth. "Y/N!" Seth says as he sees me come in the room. Gordon whispers something in his ear and Seth makes his way upstairs. I walk over to Gordon and shake his hand. "It's good to see you Y/N, but what did you have to talk to us about?"
I let out a shaky breath and wipe my hands on my pants as I sit on the couch across from him and now Milika. "I wanted to ask for your blessing. Before you say anything I know me and Dinah have had our shaky past starting and I know you didn't like what I did to Dinah before we got together but I've learned something throughout this whole time." I look between him and Milika while speaking. "What is that?"
"That no matter what I want to see Dinah happy. Before I even thought about being with Dinah she was my best friend. I wanted nothing more for her to find someone to make her happy. Seeing Dinah happy is truly a blessing to me. I would do anything to see her have the smile that reaches her eyes. A true smile. Being in a relationship with Dinah taught me that you have to hold onto what you cherish the most. That's why I want your blessing for me to marry her because I want to hold onto the woman I cherish the most which is Dinah. I can't possibly see me marry any other woman than Dinah." I slightly chuckle. "I honestly don't see myself with anyone else but Dinah." "Are you just marrying her because she's having your kids?"  Gordon asks with a stern look.
"No. Dear god no. Dinah having my kids has nothing with me marrying her. I love Dinah with everything in me. I want to marry her because I know that I want to be with her forever. Even before our kids came in the picture I've been contemplating on whether or not I should propose to her being if it's too early. Marriage is for eternity and that's what I want with Dinah. I don't want to do nothing but to promise you that your daughter is in great hands and that I promise that you will never see a frown on her face. Well it being caused by me of course, but either way I'll make it my mission that you will never see anything less than a smile on her face when she's with me. So can I have your blessing to marry your eldest child?"
Milika looks from between me and Gordon. "I've never seen Dinah happy about anyone other than when she's with you. You've brought the one thing we hope anybody will give her. And that's happiness. So you have my blessing." Milika says with a smile at the end. I give her a smile back and then return my attention Gordon. "Well, you've proven to me that you would do anything for my daughter the first time when you fought for her with L.A. I never liked him. Still don't. I was waiting for you to come ask me this quest-" I cut Gordon off by hugging him. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." I exclaim repeatedly. "But hurt her. Cousins and aunts." I nod my head.
