Ch. 49

Turning my head I see a familiar clock-eyed girl facing me, leaning on the door frame. She looks at me, smiling widely.
"Uh Clockwork c-can you go a-away, I want to get some r-rest." I respond, rubbing my eyes and stepping out of the bathroom, turning off the lights.
"Do you take no for an answer?" She smirks and puts her hand by my head, trapping me on one side.
"P-Please Clock?" I start freaking out, looking left and right for any help. I spot Ej peaking out, probably curious about what was going on outside. When Clockwork isn't looking, I mouth to him 'help me.'
He nods and runs over to me, understanding my panicked face. He taps Clockwork's shoulder and begins to pry her off of me.
"Hey what do you think your doing?!" She shouts, slapping his hands. She tries to grab my arm but I slip away, taking Eyeless Jack with me into my room.
After I closed my door shut, making sure to lock it, I could hear Clockwork stomping down to her room. I turn to Ej,"Thanks b-buddy."
"No problem." He says, sitting on my bed and looking at the ground. I twitch and sit next to him, staring at his mask.
"Sorry, s-she hurt you." I followed the direction Ej was looking and rested my head on my hand.
"You couldn't do anything about it. Don't worry." Ej responds, turning to me but then asks,"Where's y/n?"
I scratch my cheek and face him, brushing hair out of my face,"She wasn't there- i-in the shack. N-no one was there."
"Mmm" was all that came out of Ej, but then he wrapped me around in a comforting hug. I hugged back, letting a few tears fall from my face as I worried about the lovely girl who always made me happy.
"Don't worry, we'll find her." Eyeless Jack says as he begins to pat my back.

(Slenderman's POV)

A few seconds after Toby left, I sat back down in my chair, concentrating.
If y/n's awake right now I could communicate with her. I sat, waiting, waiting, and waiting.
But all I could get out was 'h' and 'z'.
"Ugh." I groan slightly to myself, standing up and taking a book off my bookshelf.

How to contact through portals.

Something urged me to pick up the book and start reading from page 16.

To contact through a portal, you must stand in a silent area, no shouting, no footsteps, and no cars.
You must stand and take in the silence, concentrating on one thing and one thing only.

    To contact a living thing through a portal, you must think of how they act, how they look, and how they sound. Do not think of anything else!
After you complete this, you are granted the contacting of the living though the portal. Use wisely.

I closed the book, heading out of the office. How could I find somewhere quiet without children coming to bother me. I quickly look around and spot Masky and Hoodie.
"Children, please take care of the mansion while I'm away." They nod their heads excitingly and I walk out of the door, closing it behind me.
I walk around to see if there were any quiet spots, away from those motoring engines.
Walking deep into the forest, I see a circle of dirt in the middle of nowhere.
Convenient, but helpful.
Standing in the center, I begin to think of how y/n acted, looked, and sounded.
After about 5 minutes of this, I finally felt a presence.
Y/n? I called out in my head, hoping for an answer. Waiting, I grew tired but jumped at an answer.
Slender! Is that you?
Yes dear, it is me.
Oh please! I'm in Zalgo's castle right now and it's horrible. He's letting me go now.
Oh y/n I'm sorry. Can you tell me what happened once you get back safely?
Yes! I'll tell you everything! I'm so glad your listening to me Slenderman.

I think a quick goodbye, looking around after. I teleport into the mansion, walking up the stairs with haste.
"Toby?" I ask, knocking on Toby's door, waiting for an answer .
"Come i-in!" I hear, and I open the door then see Eyeless Jack in there too. I decide not to ask since I see Toby's tears.
"Oh Toby, don't worry. I've managed to contact her." I say, sitting next to Toby and wiping his tears away.
"You d-did?! Thank y-you Slenderman!" He jumps up with joy, bouncing up and down and skipping around the room.
He hugs me and sits back down, a smile plastered onto his excited face.
"Your welcome, Ticci-Toby."
