As we all walked to the mansion, Jeff giving the Puppeteer a little piggy back ride. (Since him being hunched over Jeff was too uncomfortable.) I asked a question, more towards Mr. Smiley. "Hey, were you hurt at all?" Mr. Smiley shook his head, "No, Puppet just tried to protect the house. I give him credit for it! I brought medicine with me so his wounds will heal faster." I gave him a thumbs up and glanced at Jeff as he put down The Puppeteer so they could both fit through the door, Mr. Smiley got some medicine out of his bag. "Let's get you in my room." I said, leading the guests up the stairs.
When we got to my room door, I led them in and sat The Puppeteer down on my bed, then closed the door. I didn't want him to be pressured by all the people that would be there so I didn't tell anyone about it and just closed my door. Not even notifying Slenderman. "Ok let's see your scratches." Jeff said as we all waited for The Puppeteer to take his shirt off. After he did so, Mr. Smiley started examining him, nodding and squinting his eyes. "Seems like Zalgo got you in the chest. Does it hurt?"
The Puppeteer looked at him with the most disappointed face, "No of course it doesn't hurt. Why would it hurt?" He said sarcastically, staring the man down. Mr. Smiley frowned and started to tend to Puppet's wounds. "What? I'm a doctor, I need to know how much it hurts." He poured some kind of weird liquid into the scratches and Puppet flinched, trying not to make a sound. He then started to bandage up the wounds after putting a purplish liquid on. "What does that do?" Jeff asked curiously. "The first antidote heals the damage that's been done, the purple one closes up the wound so it goes away faster."
"Gee you really know what do to when someone's hurt and create stuff when it comes to medicine." I complimented Mr. Smiley and he smiled, bowing a little. "So can you try to make a magic thingy." Jeff waved his hand around as he said 'thingy'. "Yes, I'll attempt it." Shrugged The Puppeteer, but instantly regretted it since it caused him pain in the chest. "Do you have anything to make it out of?" He asked, the question leaning towards me. I jumped and turned around, looking through junk I had. "Will this do?" I asked, holding up a broken button for the X-box controller, specifically the A button. He nodded, and held out his hand- I dropped it in. "Let's try this." He muttered as he grabbed the button with his yellow strings.
His strings started to twist it and violently pierce it- but not break it. All of a sudden, his strings began to shake and his hands trembled. His grip was lost and the button fell to the floor, hitting my shoe. "I'm sorry." He muttered. Then he shook his head and looked up, "We shall try again tomorrow." Everyone in the room nodded, and we waited for the dawn of the second day to come.
"You feeling any better today?" I asked The Puppeteer as Jeff, Mr. Smiley and I regrouped into my room. Puppet nodded, picking up the untouched button- which was still lying on the floor. It was quite a hassle to attempt to sleep when I had to share my bed with The Puppeteer. I would've shared beds with Jeff or something if I knew he kicked in his sleep, since I've got some new bruises on my legs from it. Mr. Smiley slept in Jeff's room, and Jeff slept on the couch, using an excuse to Slenderman why he wanted to sleep on the couch all of a sudden.
Puppet repeated what he did yesterday, the strings surrounding the little button, all of a sudden, the button began to glow as the Puppeteer continued to repeat the process for at least ten seconds. "Nice..." Jeff whispered as he stuck his hands in his sweatshirt pocket. "Let's give this to Clockwork, Mr. Smiley, you can do whatever to make Puppet's wound heal faster." I said as Jeff and I walked out of the room after I picked up the little button and touched it. "Clockwork?" I asked and heard a response in the kitchen as I walked down the stairs. Everyone was eating breakfast and the time was probably around 8:00 am. "I've got the magic item! We've got it!" I ran down and quickly corrected myself remembering Jeff was following right behind me.
Clockwork immediately stood up and quickly fetched the watch, coming back and opening it up into two pieces. "Drop it in." She said as she held a half out. The half looked like a little bowl, since it was the back of the watch and didn't really need much inside it. I nodded and dropped the A button in, watching it clank around until it finally settled down. Slenderman got up from the table to watch, and suddenly everyone was gathered around. After Clockwork put the two pieces back together, she gave the watch to me, "Try this. We'll be waiting for you. Try to get y/n as quickly as possible."
I smiled and nodded, turning it back to the time y/n last turned her pocket watch back to. "Thank you!" I said before I disappeared into nothing. "Good luck." Clockwork said under her breath after I was gone. Now, all what was to be done, was to wait.
