Ch. 78

      I gasp for air as Jeff pulls me back up, laughing. I didn't speak for a few seconds, questioning his actions in my head.
Why'd he do that?
Was that Jane?
    I look for the figure that was in front of a tree, but she was gone.
Should I look for her?
   I didn't know what to do now. All I could ask now was why she was watching me from afar. I eyed Jeff as Toby looked at him in disbelief.
   "Jeff! W-why would you do that? N-next time, t-think before you do!" Toby hustled over to me and caressed my face. "Y/n are y-you ok?" I smiled, taking Toby's hands off my face. I didn't want him to get soaked. "Yeah, uh I'm going to look for someone though."
    "Who?" The three boys asked. I noticed BEN was standing beside Toby, the little twig still in his hand.
Friend? No. Family member? Nah. Maybe I'll tell them that I have to murder someone. Oh gosh they're not ganna believe that...oh well!
   "I-I have to find a victim to kill. They've been bothering me ever since they started camping in this forest and I want to make them regret it." They all looked at me, each one of them surprised. "Want me to g-go with you?" Toby asked. "I didn't know you liked to kill people." Jeff's smile grew wider.
    "U-uh yeah!" I smiled and waved, only to remember that I was soaking wet with dirty lake water. "I think I'm ganna take a shower first..."
Great, that's ganna give Jane more time to hide. But I don't want to be soaking wet and cold.
    "My thoughts were interrupted by BEN saying the most perverted line I've ever heard. "Can I go with you?" He smirks. "No!" I shout, and quickly run into the mansion, finding an old grey shirt from Toby, some black jeans, and new socks. I step into Jeff's bathroom- quickly locking the door- making sure the one window was closed and hopped in the shower.

Time skip
 
   As I walked out into the woods with Fake by my side, I heard the leaves crumple behind us. I gave Fake a piece of chopped up steak- which was his normal snack when he was out. He caught it and hugged my leg, I smiled and gave him a pat on the head, earning a funny dance from him.
   "Hahahah!" I hear my laughter echo throughout the forest, making a scary childish ring come back. "U-uh let's keep going, Fake." We both walk deeper within the forest, a few branches snapping under our feet here and there. The ground was earthy and cold, since it was almost the end of the day.
   I honestly just wanted to know where Jane went and why she was there, just standing there.
  Didn't she want to murder us or something for killing Zalgo?
   Anyways, I look behind us to see Clockwork standing there. "Hey Clock, can I help you?" I haven't really talked to her, but she was silent and staring at the ground. I shrugged and turned back around, motioning for Fake to hurry up and walk by my side a little faster.
   I didn't want to see Clockwork right now, especially when no other human was around- and it was getting dark. I heard her finally speak up as I stood in front of a tree, examining the note on it. It was an o with and x through it.
   "You...y-you took him."
  "Huh?" I turn back around to face Clockwork. "Y-you stole him from me! How could you!"
   "Why yes she did." I heard someone chuckle from behind both of us. We turn simultaneously to the voice, and out of nowhere, Jane appears. "She stole Toby from you, Clockwork. What are you going to do?"
   Clockwork started to shake. "You should do something. You should eliminate her." Jane spat the words out so hatefully, but all I had to worry about now was my safety. It all happened too fast. Fake was thrown to the side by Jane and in a second, the two girls had knives right against my throat.
   I'm going to die!
I watched Fake quickly sprint off into the forest, the direction where the mansion was. He was going to get help! Hopefully.
   "Ow!" I shout as I feel stings on my neck.
  Think fast! Think fast!
   I kick both girls in the legs and they stumble, then I take that chance to run away somewhere. I could barely breath, taking slower steps as I tried to sprint back to the mansion.
   I finally collapsed by the lake where Jeff, Toby, and BEN were. But alas, no one came to help me now.
