Ticking with Love (Ticci-Toby x reader)

Ch. 12

I woke up undisturbed this time, cuddling Toby who was still holding me. I didn't have a dream this night because, well, I don't usually get dreams. They come in my mind once a month or maybe twice. That is, the dreams I remember. 'Maybe I am having dreams but I don't remember. Whatever.'
I look next to me to see Toby hugging my waist and burying his face in my stomach.
'He's so cute when he's sleeping...' I blush and hug him, taking in his warmth.
I can feel him taking small breaths, his back rising up and down.
'So peaceful.'
"Sorry Toby." I whispered, sliding out of Toby's arms which left a lonesome gap. I replaced the gap with a pillow so he could have something to cuddle with when I was gone. He squeezed it, hugging it to death, ticking slightly.
I got some clothes to change into and took a short, warm, shower making  the water cold at the end. After that I got out and brushed my (h/c) hair. I didn't need to blow dry it because whenever I go outside, it dries in about a minute.
I walk downstairs to see Jeff up and about but Laughing Jack is still sawing logs. (If you don't know that saying, it means sleeping.) I chuckle and Jeff walks up to me.
"Hey y/n what are you ganna do today?"
"Oh I have school so...yeah, I need to go there. I'll make breakfast for you guys." I smile, walking into the kitchen.
"Oh would you like some help? I don't have anything to do right now. Could we have bagels?" He asks, following me.
"Sure let me get 'em out for ya. Could you toast them for 2 minutes? I still need to get ready."
Jeff nodes and I get out the frozen bagels from the freezer. I hand them to Jeff and say thanks.
I walked up the stairs, into my room and went in the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I came out and saw Toby waking up.
"Good morning Sunshine!" I say. I saw him blush a little and I did too.
'Didn't mean to call him that so sudden.'
I smiled as he got up and walked over to me, hugging me while I returned it.
"How'd ya sleep?" He asked.
"Good, you?"
"Alright. But when I woke up I saw a pillow and not you." He chuckled glancing at the white, soft, pillow.
"Yeah sorry 'bout that. I wanted you to sleep peacefully when I was gone."
"I did." He laughs and looks into my eyes.
"Hey so I have school today. I'm ganna put you in charge of the house. Please watch Lj and Jeff so they don't do anything bad.
If you guys want to play outside then just go in the backyard where no one can see ya. I don't want you guys getting in trouble, do I." I laugh nervously, looking at the ground.
"Sure I can do that." He responded smiling and chuckling.
"If you guys get hungry there's some snacks in the pantry, and there's also macaroni for lunch. You can heat it up in the microwave for about a minute and it should be all good." I look up at him and smile.
"Thanks I'll make sure the house doesn't burn down too." He smirks and puts both of his hands on my shoulders.
"Y/N GET YOUR BAGEL IT'S DONE!!" Jeff screams from downstairs.
I grab Toby's hand and lead him to the kitchen, yet did I know he was blushing at the gentle hold. I take my bagel along with my backpack and run out the door.
"Bye guys! See ya at 2:00!" I shout and close the door. Laughing Jack looked at me through the window with tired eyes and I laugh and wave at him. He waves tiredly and goes back to sleeping.
I start eating and running to school, finishing my two chapters that was assigned for homework. Just as I was finished with my bagel, I hear a faint,"Hey it's that ugly weirdo." I look up to see my bullies and I start running faster to school. They all laugh and point at me.
'Great' I think.
     'Just what I need to start a school day.' I roll my eyes thinking about them.
Their names were Bob, Billy, and Ace.
Bob was the leader of them, he was the one who started bullying me in the first place.
I sigh and open the school doors, shutting them closed before the crew could get me.
I sprint over to my locker and gather up all my books I needed, putting them into my backpack, along with my reading book.(The book you read while walking to school)
The worst part is that Bob's locker is right next to mine.
'Good thing I remembered my reading homework.'
I close my locker door only to be slammed in the face by another.
