CHAPTER TWENTY ____________________ "Please eat." A restless Sasuke begged, holding up a spoon of mashed potatoes.
"No!" The four-year old shook his head, pushing his father's hand away forcefully.
"Itachi's eating his food." He inclined his head over to his other four-year old, who was eating a plate of greens.
"I don't like mashed potatoes!" Satoshi whined.
"Eat or I'll get your mom." He uttered sternly.
"Mama's nice! I don't care." Satoshi shrugged, crossing his arms with a stubborn look.
"I'm home!"
"In the kitchen!" The Uchiha shouted loudly.
"Hi, babies." The red-head cooed softly, putting down her purse on the dinner table while leaning down to give her sons a quick kiss on the side of his head.
Itachi smiled a bright smile, a mirror image of his mother."Hi Mama!"
"Sasuke, can I talk to you?" Nao asked softly, inclining her head towards the entrance to the living room.
"Sure."
The couple made their way to the living room, settling themselves down on the black couch.
"You know how I told you I was pregnant again?" She asked, her ocean-blue eyes darkening slightly.
Sasuke nodded."Yeah.."
"I lost it."
"You what?"
"I-I was in the middle of a surgery with Sakura a-and that's when it happened a-and I-" The jinjuriki cried, making an effort to hold back her tears."And oh my god, I can't believe I lost it. You've been wanting children for so long, and I ruined it."
"Nao-"
"It was gonna be a boy, too." She continued, sniffling quietly."I cost you a boy. I'm so sorry-"
"Baka Nao." He interrupted, giving his wife a small smile."We have so much more time to have children. We're only twenty-four, after all."
She wiped a tear away."Yeah, but-"
"It's not your fault. We can keep trying." He interrupted again, resting his hand on her thigh.
