CHAPTER TWO _________________________
"YUU-SENSEI." SASUKE WATCHED AS THE GIRL he saw the year before raised her hand with the most polite smile.
"Yes, Nao?"
Nao. So that was her name.
"I got all of my answers right, but I got a low score." She held up her paper with her free hand, tapping it with her fingernail.
"I couldn't read what you wrote." The raven-haired man answered simply.
"But she has the neatest handwriting out of anybody here!" Her brother intervened, shooting up from his spot beside her. "What other way would-"
"-Sit down, Naruto." Yuu said calmly.
"I can handle this, Naru." She murmured quietly, grabbing his arm to pull him down.
"You're too nice to people like him." He hissed, returning to his normal position.
"Continue with your drawings." Their teacher ordered the class.
NAO UZUMAKI looked down at her sketch pad, half-heartedly completing her drawing of the Hokage Rock with a sigh.
"Sis, I need the blue."
"You're always stealing my colors, ya know!" She pointed out, showing that she was in a bad mood.
"Just go ask somebody for one, dattebayo!" Naruto responded in the same tone.
"Nobody likes me." The girl reminded him, her eyes brimming with tears as she turned her attention back to her drawing.
Sasuke shifted his gaze from the pair over to his pencil collection. He had promised himself not to be friends with her or talk to her for his clan's sake, but... He couldn't bare to continue watching this.
"I have a blue colored pencil you can use." He found himself saying, holding it out.
"Really?" She asked excitedly, her ocean-colored eyes filling with life once again."Are you sure?"
"Yeah, but only if you let me borrow your red." He mumbled, his cheeks turning a light pink color.
"Deal." She grinned her usual grin, the one that made anybody who looked at her feel special, even if they wouldn't admit it.
