CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

"Do you have to leave so soon?"

"Can't you stay?"

Satoshi and Minato scoffed at their siblings, rolling their eyes as they hung back by their mother.

"I have to go." Sasuke told his children, ruffling their hair with a small smile.

"He has a mission. He obviously can't stay." The second eldest son stated bitterly, crossing his arms.

"Satoshi." His red haired mother warned.

"But I'll be back soon." He reassured them.

"Dad.." Sarada bit her lip, tears threatening to fall from her equally onyx eyes.

His smiling grew just a bit wider. He bent down to reach her height, raising his hand to poke her in the forehead."I'll see you later."

She laughed lightly, turning back to face her mother who was smiling at the two."I understand now."

And so when the raven-haired man came back up, he did the same to his wife and said,

"I love you."
