CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE ____________________ "Mom!" Sarada called, peeking her head into the kitchen with a kind smile.
"Yes?" She asked, cutting the tomatoes in front of her at a fast pace as she turned her head slightly to face her daughter.
"Tomatoes again?" She groaned, burying her face into her hands.
"Don't worry. They're for your Dad." Nao smiled, sliding the pieces into a pan of eggs.
"You take too long, Salad. Can we borrow you for a second, Mom?" Minato asked with a bite of his lip, inclining his head over to the living room.
"Why don't you ask Dad for whatever you need?" She asked curiously, moving the pan in her hands around in a circular motion.
"Okay, we get that you're cooking right now but can you just come with us?" Satoshi groaned, turning off the oven in annoyance.
"Fine." She mumbled, untying her apron in one swift motion before heading over to the living room.
"This better not be one of your stupid pranks." Sasuke sighed under his breath.
"I dare you to speak louder." Satoshi said challengingly.
"This better not-"
"Settle down, you children." Itachi scolded, narrowing his eyes at the two.
"Anyways!" Sarada held out a small present box in front of her, flashing her parents a small smile."Happy Anniversary!"
"Oh, but it's not our anniversary." Their mother told them with scrunched brows.
"It's your Love-Aversary." Minato explained.
Satoshi nodded."Uncle Naruto and Aunt Sakura told us the day you two started to love each other."
"But how would they know it was today?" Nao murmured halfly to herself.
"Well.." Sarada cleared her throat."Aunt Sakura said that today, twenty three years ago, the two of you had walked off together after a mission with your team, and she and Uncle Naruto followed you because they were curious. And what they found was Dad was somewhat smiling, and you, Mom, were laughing at something stupid he had said. And Uncle Naruto said that it was so obvious you loved each other, because of the way you looked at each other. You were oblivious to your feelings, though."
"Wait.. We were supposed to pick out some of the weeds for that lady, right?"
"Don't tell me you gave her weeds instead of flowers!"

"Oh my god!"
"Shut up. Stop laughing!"
"That's right." Sasuke confirmed with a genuine smile.
"Happy Love-Aversary." Nao congratulated with a grin.
"Happy Love-Aversary, blockhead."
