CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE _______________________ A FEW YEARS BEFORE
"Sasuke!"
"Hn."
"I have a question." Nao sang quietly, looking up at the night sky with a curious gaze.
"It's three in the morning." The man muttered in return, showing that his voice was raspy.
"You're supposed to be lookout, dummy." She laughed, running her fingers through his hair to calm him.
"Hn."
"Anyway, do you think the moon and the sun are secretly in love?" The red-haired woman quizzed, her eyes sparkling as she watched the stars shine.
Sasuke raised a shaped brow."What kind of question is that?"
"I don't know. It's just Iruka said something to me before we left for our mission. It had me wondering." She shrugged, humming mindlessly.
"What was it?"
"You really wanna know? Cause I don't understand."
He rolled his eyes."Just say it already."
She bit her lip."Okay, okay. Don't rush me!"
"Go ahead."
"He said, I think it's beautiful how the moon glows using the sun's light, and the sun never asks for anything in return." Nao quoted softly, continuously running her fingers through the man's raven hair.
"Baka. He's talking about us, and how you love me."
She tilted her head."Oh, really?"
"But don't you see? The moon glows because he loves the sun with all of his heart."
NOTES the moon is sasuke and the sun is nao if you couldn't figure that out.
sorry i didn't update earlier. i just found out the hurricane is going straight through florida and to where i live so i've been preparing.
but i hope you liked this chapter. if i don't update at all it's because we lost power and we don't have the ability to charge anything
