Alyssa's P.O.V
We got out and walked towards the cinema's entrance. I noticed Cameron walking a bit faster than me and I laughed to myself, remembering the time we went out for ice cream, when I got in before him so wouldn't do exactly what he wanted to do now.
He held open the door. "After you."
See? Just as I thought. I decided not to pass.
"This door is big enough for both of us to pass through at the same time." I stated matter-of-factly.
"So..." he trailed, somewhat confused.
"So we're entering together." I emphasized, stretching out my palm for him to take.
I swear my body has a mind of it's own sometimes. Where this new found confidence was coming from, I had no idea. Sometimes I just never ceased to amaze myself. I watched him intently.
He tilted his head and grinned. "You are something else, Alyssa Greene."
Then he took my hand in his and that little gesture nearly sent me over the edge. We walked in together and immediately began scouting for Rowan and Jordan among the mass crowd.
I spotted the brunette soon enough, standing next to the place where the tickets were being sold, with a blonde guy who was obviously Jordan.
"Oh there they are." I pointed to a far end.
"Where? I can't see anything."
I rolled my eyes. And he's taller than I am.
"Standing next to those ticket booths. Just come with me." I grabbed his hand this time still feeling tingly from that little connection.
As we approached them, I took in Jordan's appearance. He had dark blonde hair and light blue eyes to compliment it. He was definitely a looker and I silently wondered why Rowan didn't like him.
But who was I to judge, right.
"There you are," Rowan began as she saw us, then looked down smirking at my and Cameron's hands, still holding on to each other.
Knowing Rowan, she was only doing that to tease me and I knew it but I still did it.
I let go.
I let go and afterwards I felt very bad for just leaving his hand in that manner. Now he was going to think he did something wrong, when in reality, I was the problem as always. Suddenly I couldn't look him in the face anymore.
"Now that we're all here, Jordan meet Alyssa and Cameron."
"Hi Jordan." I greeted.
"Hey man." Cameron stretched out his hand and shook him.
I rolled my eyes. Boys.
He gave a full toothed smile. "What's up guys? So what movie are we watching?"
I hadn't even thought of that.
"Why don't you guys pick the movie and Alyssa and I will get snacks?" Rowan suggested.
"Yeah okay, we'll be over there looking at the movies available." agreed Cameron.
Rowan took me by the wrist and led me through the crowd towards the snack area, but she stopped me before we could buy anything.
She fiddled with her fingers. "I'm sorry."
My brows furrowed in confusion "Sorry? For what?"
She shrugged. "Back there. I saw when you let go of his hand, because I was smirking at you both."
