Alyssa's P.O.V
I was literally on the edge of my seat when Mr Morgan ordered the person in. As the door pushed open I could hear my heart beat twice as fast. Then the person came into view.
Faye.
When I saw her I relaxed back in my seat. She probably forgot something which was why she came back in.
"I'm sorry Mr Morgan, I totally forgot you asked me to stay behind."
Okay, so she didn't forget anything... maybe she was also getting a tutor. Yeah that makes perfect sense. Why else would she be in here?
"No worries, Miss Monroe. This," he started, referring to me, "is the student I told you about. You will..."
I wasn't listening anymore. Faye Monroe as my algebra tutor?
Un-fucking-believable.
What sort of shitty joke is the universe trying to play on me right now? There is no way in hell I'm going to let Faye tutor me.
"Did you get that Miss Greene?" he asked.
I'm hardly getting myself right now.
"No, not really." I fumed.
"Miss Monroe is going to tutor you, so I expect you to cooperate with her. Is that clear?"
"Don't I get a say in all of this?"
"You will... after you get your grades up."
I watched Faye, who was obviously enjoying her exalted position in this situation. The smug grin on her face said it all. If I have to keep on seeing that look for as long as this lasts, I might just punch her face in.
No joke.
"Can't I at least get a different tutor? Preferably one without fetishes?" I asked sarcastically.
She fixed me with a menacing glare, while Mr Morgan looked somewhat confused.
He spoke. "No you cannot. This decision is final. You-"
"Yes, I know, I may leave," I interrupted before I could stop myself.
I am seriously asking for detention right now. Quickly, I scurried out, shoulder bumping Faye as I rushed past her. She followed me outside.
I stopped to face her. Sadly we were almost the same height, so I couldn't tower over her the way I wanted to. "What do you want?"
She exhaled. "Look, I hate doing this as much as you do so just put a pause on the attitude. I don't have cheerleading practice today so you can come to my house after school and we'll start."
I tilted my head. "Yeah, see I don't enter kennels so..."
"You know I might be a bitch and I could just decide to just screw you over and then tell Mr Morgan about you not cooperating, subsequently ruining everything for you, but I think I'll just watch you screw yourself over." Then she was leaving.
Goddammit, she's right. She's right and I hate to admit it. I should just suck it up and go along with the idea. Mr Morgan will obviously believe her word over mine...
God I'm such an idiot!
"Faye, wait!" I hollered, hearing the skidding of my Vans in the empty hallways as I ran up to her.
"Jesus, bitch don't shout my name that way."
I rolled my eyes, ignoring her comment. "Tell me your freaking address."
