Alyssa's P.O.V
School went by fairly normal and soon I found myself heading towards English along with Rowan and Shannon.
We picked seats smack in the middle of the classroom, with the two of them by my sides and me as the middleman.
Immediately I was settled, someone passed me a note. A girl I didn't really recognise or know exactly. She didn't look too pleased giving it to me, so I wasn't sure about asking her who it was from. Although I'm a hundred percent sure it wasn't from her.
Before I could stop myself, I was already ripping it open, because the top was taped together. Probably to prevent nosy people from reading. I do that a lot so I guess I should know. It read;
Morning you,
A little birdie told me you were free after school down until tomorrow morning...
So I was hoping we could do something later afterwards. What do you say?Yes / No
Tick one. (preferably yes)Williams.
Cameron? I quickly put the note down so neither of my friends would notice, while I discreetly searched for Cameron in the class. There he was, at the extreme, angled end of the class. How'd he get the note to reach me from all the way there?
Our eyes met and he pouted and gave me a hopeful smile. I looked down, blushing and shaking my head at his childish manners. He was adorable when he did that.
Ugh, get a hold of yourself Alyssa!
When I was sure I wasn't flushing anymore, I tucked the note safely in my textbook and sat up straighter.
Mrs Nelson then walked in at that moment gaining our attention and preventing me from mouthing any reply to Cameron.
"Good day everyone. Before we begin our class, I want to introduce someone to you all. We have a new student in our midst," the entire classroom began murmuring at that statement.
It was worth the buzz, honestly. Getting a new student was not exactly something that occurred occasionally in Westfield High, so I guess this was bound to bring up some sort of controversy. I wonder how it was when Cameron first arrived.
"Quiet down," she cautioned and the murmuring noises reduced. "Come in Miss Daniels."
I could feel the room hush down to silent whisperings as the new student walked in. To be completely honest, she was absolutely beautiful. She had this light ocean blue eyes and dark long hair, which was very wavy, and she was tall. A few whistles came from behind the class, earning a stern look from Mrs Nelson.
I wondered if Cameron whistled too.
"Please introduce yourself to the class."
The girl smiled boldly before speaking. "Hello everyone, I'm Mikaela Daniels. I'm from Australia and I like Nutella, guitars and Netflix." she finished in a very strong aussie accent.
The class chuckled at her description. Even Mrs Nelson had a small smile playing on her lips. "Thank you for that description. You may sit in any free chairs. I don't assign seating positions."
The girl walked to a free seat by the window side and got out her materials as Mrs Nelson began to teach. She seemed nice, chill. I was thankful she wasn't a snob or anything like that. I diverted my attention back to the teacher, but soon I found myself daydreaming about the note Cameron sent me.

It was finally lunch time and I made a quick stop at my locker to drop off some things before going to eat. I saw Cameron approaching me through my peripheral view and suddenly my heart began beating rapidly. Why was all of this happening all of a sudden?
