Alyssa's P.O.V

Shannon and Rowan met at my house on Saturday like we had agreed. We were currently in my room and I was thankful that neither dad nor Ivan were at home so it was tension free, plus we had the house to ourselves.

"So now that we're settled do you mind telling us whatever it is that's been taking up so much of your time?" asked Shannon who was sprawled out on my bean bag.

"Well, as you might not know, I'm flunking algebra." I began, sitting cross legged.

"What else is new?" Rowan interjected, causing Shannon to burst into a loud laugh.

I scoffed. "Not all of us are geniuses. Now are you going to keep on interrupting me, or are you going to listen?"

They kept silent for me to go on and I continued, starting from the very beginning when Faye had confronted me in the girls bathroom, to when Mr Morgan called me out on my grades, down until when he assigned Faye to be my tutor. When I was done they both had their mouths hanging open.

I guess it was a lot to process.

"Close your mouth, or else flies might go in." I chuckled, snapping my fingers to get their attention.

Rowan held up a finger. "Wait, I'm trying to wrap my head around this. You're telling me that Faye Monroe threatened you in the girls bathroom the day you were late to chemistry class, and now she's your algebra tutor?"

"And you're just thinking to tell us now!"

I scratched the back of my neck and shrugged. "It didn't seem important at the time."

"So do you need us to go bat shit on her?" asked Rowan smiling evilly.

"I don't think that's necessary..." Shannon started, but Rowan waved her off.

"I'd be happy to help if Shannon's too chicken."

"Yeah, as tempting as that sounds, I'm going with Shannon. I can take care of myself. Plus I don't think it's a smart idea seeing she's tutoring me." I pointed out.

She sighed in defeat. "You're no fun."

"So what did you guys get yesterday at the mall?" I asked.

My question seemed to trigger a memory for Shannon. She snapped her finger in remembrance. "Oh my God I almost forgot!"

"Shut up, Shannon." muttered Rowan. She obviously didn't want Shannon to spill, and it definitely sparked my interest.

"What happened yesterday?" I inquired, scooting to the edge of my bed in eagerness.

"Rowan got a date yesterday!" she squealed. I wasn't sure I heard correctly.

"Shut up!" I exclaimed. "Tell me exactly how it happened."

"So yesterday, when we were done shopping, I suggested we got froyo, and then while we were getting it, this guy walked up to us and asked for her number and if they could go out sometime."

"Aww, I'm so happy for you," I smiled, hugging her.

"Relax, it's not like he asked me to be his girlfriend." she replied, brushing it off.

"It's just a matter of time, honey." piped Shannon.

"What's his name? Is he hot? What am I saying, he has to be hot!"

She rolled her eyes. "Jordan."

I held my hand to my heart, wiping a fake tear. "I already ship Rodan."

"Me too. And you could call him Jordi, I'm sure he'd love that." teased Shannon.

She threw a pillow over her face. "You guys are insufferable."

Monday rolled in quicker than I expected. I woke up groggily and took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and slipped on a pair of skinny jeans with a red shirt and laced up my Doc Martins, grabbing my phone and bag before heading downstairs.

I met Ivan eating a bowl of cheerios at the dining table. We still weren't on the best of terms, so I decided to bring up small talk hoping with all my heart that he wouldn't ignore me.

"Morning Ivan."

He grunted a reply.

Okay...

At least he was giving me some sort of reply.

"You're up early."

Silence. I rolled my eyes and took a seat across him.

"C'mon, Iv. That dinner was days ago, how are you still mad at me?"

"I wouldn't be mad if you'd supported me."

Seriously? I cannot believe he was blaming me for this.

"And I would've supported you if you hadn't blown everything out of proportion with your weather comment!"

He narrowed his eyes at me in annoyance. "So this is my fault now? You were the one who said to get nasty!"

"I said only if required. It definitely wasn't required when all she asked you was about school, Ivan."

"That's it. I am not having this conversation this morning." He stood up and went to dump his bowl of cheerios in the sink, brushing past me as he walked to the door.

"Do you want me to drive you to school?" I called after him.

"I'm taking my damn bike." Then he slammed the door and left.

I sighed heavily. "Well that went well..."

                           AUTHOR'S RANT.

Ivan is being so stubborn.

Sorry if this is kinda short-ish. It's mainly more of a filler chapter anyway.
