Alyssa's P.O.V

I was seven minutes early to school today.
I heard what you begin with is what you end with, and I cannot have my senior year outlined with oversleeping and late coming.

At first I thought I it was gonna be a ghost town that early, but as I got down from my beat down truck it was the exact opposite.

And I thought I was early.

Why anyone would come to school this early was honestly beyond me. I mean, I was totally an exception as I was only early because I wanted my system to get used to waking up.

I took out my bag pack and walked inside. The hall was semi-filled and I could hear soft chatters from different angles, the scuffing of sneakers and the clicking of heels against the marble floor.

It kinda felt... therapeutic. For some reason my mood lifted and I sighed happily, while heading to my locker.

I realised I hadn't gotten my timetable and decided to go immediately to get it before the whole school got crowded. The secretary, Mrs Turansky wasn't available when I got there so I had to sit in the waiting room for her.

I texted Rowan to keep myself busy.

Me: Where the hell are you?
Ro_1: Calm your tits woman! We'll be there soon.
Me: We'll? Are you with Shannon??
Ro_1: Yeah. I'll drive in soon.
Me: Hurry! I'm getting my timeta-

"Is this seat taken?"

I looked up at my intruder. Locker boy. He wore a blue hoodie and black jeans, with that same stupid grin from yesterday still plastered on his face.

Doesn't it hurt to smile that much?

"Does it matter? There's another seat right there." I replied, nodding my head towards the opposite seat across me.

"I know that. I want to sit here." he shrugged, still grinning.

"Well the seat's taken."

"By who?"

For the first time there was a different look on his face; confusion. I'll admit, it was kind of cute, but that didn't change my mind on not wanting him to sit next to me. So I placed my bag pack on the said chair.

"There." I deadpanned.

He chuckled. "You're really not gonna let me sit are you?"

"I'm glad we're on the same page." I faked a smile. He was about saying something when a shrill squeal cut him off.

"Alyssa!" I jumped up just in time to hug Shannon before she fell on me in excitement.

"Shannon! I've missed you so much!" I returned equally squealing.

"Have you?" she asked skeptically. I sighed. Not this again.

"I have okay? It's jus-"

"You don't need to explain yourself Alyssa. Rowan's done that for you. It's okay, I understand. Let's just forget about it." she smiled.

I nodded, smiling too. "Thanks Rowan."

Forgetting seemed nice. Just the way I forgot locker boy, who'd been standing all through my conversation with my best friends. It wasn't until he cleared his throat that I remembered him.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but aren't you forgetting something?" he asked.

"Why are you still here?" I spat out.

"You're not going to introduce me to your friends?" If he noticed how mad I was or the way I was seething when I spoke to him, he didn't show it.

"Why the hell would I do that?" I asked.

"Language, Miss Greene." I spun around to see Mrs Turansky glaring at me.

"Sorry ma'am." I mumbled. She shook her head, walking into her office and muttering about how our generation was 'such a mess.'

I turned back to face locker boy, gave him the dirtiest glare I could muster, before grabbing the hands of my two friends and pulling them into the office with me.

                 ***************************

Eight minutes later, we came out with our timetables. Locker boy was no longer outside and I heaved a sigh of relief.

"Hey, let's compare our timetables." I suggested.

"We have a better idea," Rowan said, "right, Shannon?"

My blonde friend gave me a suspicious look before nodding her head. "We do."

Before I could ask what the idea was, I found myself being pulled by the both if them.

"Hey what's gotten into you both?" I asked wide eyed. They both ignored my protests until we reached the janitors closet, then they pulled me in. Shannon locked the door, while Rowan flicked on the lights.

"Have you both gone crazy?" I yelled. Rowan had an amused grin on her face.

"Says the girl who's breathing like a baboon." she laughed.

"Bitch, you didn't tell us you were friends with Cameron Williams!" Shannon shouted.

Cameron Williams??

"Who the hell is Cameron Williams?" I asked incredulously.

"You're joking right?" Rowan said. Then she realized I was serious. "That guy you were talking to outside Mrs Turansky's office."

Oh.... "Locker boy?" I asked stupidly. They both looked at themselves for a brief moment.

"You don't even know his name?" Shannon whispered, and I shrugged. She face palmed herself. Rowan pulled her aside.

"I'll take it from here, Shannon. Aly, Cameron Williams is the captain of the football team, Westview High's star player and golden boy."

Oh wow... that still doesn't mean I like him any better.

"How am I just knowing him?"

"He transferred here during your P.D.P, so yeah that answers your question." Shannon piped in.

"P.D.P?"

"Post- Damon Period." Rowan explained.

"I still don't see what this is about." I said.

"Hello, the guy is as hot as hell." she replied in a duh tone. "How'd you meet him?"

"And why the hell didn't you introduce us to him?" Shannon whined.

I rolled my eyes at her childish behavior and explained how he helped me with my locker and how he kept bothering me.

"Look, I don't even like the guy. In fact, he really annoys me. So just keep whatever fantasies you have in your heads, yeah? Now please let's leave this place. I'm suffocating."

With that, I unlocked the door and headed for our next class; English.

                       Author's rant.
OMG, 1,006 words!
My fingers are on fire, I swear. But writing this was fun so I hope you like it.
