Alyssa's P.O.V
I awoke only to have bright rays of sunshine directed into my eyes. At first I was momentarily confused as to where I was, but when it all came back, I fell back into the bed.
Why can't life be a permanent vacation?
Groggily, I dragged my ass off the bed and walked into the bathroom where I brushed my teeth. Then I decided to walk out to the living room to see if anyone was up.
Everyone was.
"Morning." I yawned, stretching my body out.
"Thought you were dead in there," commented Ivan. I gave him a not so amused smile and he smirked back.
"Morning honey, how'd you sleep?" asked mom, sipping on what I presumed was coffee.
"Like a log. Man, this place is awesome. Hey, can I get some coffee too?" I requested taking a seat.
"Sorry, this is the last pot. Ivan had the first."
My jaw dropped open. "You let Ivan have coffee? He's barely 15!" I fumed.
"Tsk, tsk. Jealousy does not become of you Aly." he said shaking his head.
"It's alright, I'll call their breakfast service and order more." mom said, reaching for the phone.
Breakfast service? Oh, I'm totally here for that.
"Wait, there's a breakfast service?"
"Yeah." chimed Ivan. "There is also a huge breakfast buffet downstairs, if you want-"
Buffet? Absolutely.
"Never mind mom, I think I'll go check that out instead." I smiled in satisfaction.
"Ivan will follow you." she added.
His reply was instant. "No I won't."
"You brought up the idea, you have to follow up too. Plus I don't know the way so..." I dragged.
He sighed in agreement. "Fine. But don't go around embarrassing me if we see any hot..." he stopped, realising mom was still present in the room with us. "D-dogs. Hotdogs, 'cos I know how much you love them."
Mom just gave him a suspicious knowing look, which made him go red in the face.
"Smooth. Now go get dressed."
"Can't I go in a robe? You know like how they do in the movies?" I heard him ask mom.
"This isn't the movies you doof, get dressed." I called as I walked to my room.

Minutes later, I was dressed in a cream thin strapped top, jeans and my Nike slides. I pulled my hair into a neat ponytail, something I usually never did, and when I looked in the mirror it wasn't so bad. I actually liked it, so maybe I'll go it for a while.
I grabbed my phone and went out to meet Ivan. He also wore something similar; shirt, shorts and slides. We let mom know we'd gone.
"I wasn't kidding back there. Don't ruin my chances for a little vacay fling."
Vacay fling?
"Where did you get that idea?" I asked curiously.
He smirked. "Some guys at school have them when they go on vacations, and if I can score one I'll get to hang with them. Especially if it's a senior."
At this moment, I was very grateful that Ivan still told me things like this and that we hadn't grown apart. We approached the entrance to what looked like a huge restaurant.
