Alyssa's P.O.V

Our school colours were blue and white. It's been a long, long while since I've been to any game, so I decided to wear just that, you know, to incur my school spirit or some crap like that. My blue denim jean shorts, white long sleeve that read 'I eat, I rep'eat' , along with my Vans. I also put my hair in a pony tail, although I normally wear it down.

And no, I am no trying to make an impression... this is just me, displaying my affection for school sports.

Yeah right.

Now here I am, squeezed in between Shannon and a dude who apparently has never heard of the thing called deodorant.

Looks like Tammy isn't going to be the death of me after all...

The game actually started minutes ago, although I made sure Rowan bought me a hotdog. She can't make me come to a game and then not buy me food... that's preposterous.

The referee blew his whistle, and I'm pretty sure I heard a player shouting something that sounded awfully like 'cunt', before drop-kicking the football to the other side of the field. I sighed and opened the piano tiles app on my phone. This football game is beyond my understanding. I'd rather tap musical tiles anyday.

"Oh yeah, touchdown!" yelled the guy beside me. I dropped my phone due to the shock.

"Ugh, freaking idiot, yelling..." I muttered bending to pick the phone. Shannon tugged at my arm.

"Look up, your boyfriend scored a touch down!" she shouted in my ear, as if I didn't already have a blocked ear drum from all the yelling around me.

"He's not my boyfriend..." I glared, but I doubt if she even noticed. There was a mini celebration going on in the field. Cameron was being carried shoulder high, he was all smiles, doing the angry football hoot thing, getting responses from teammates and in that moment, I smiled too and a thought flickered through my mind...

Maybe I could let him catch up to me,and maybe then, we'd run together.

We won the game, which I think is a normal, completely natural thing for the Westfield Hounds. I honestly just wanted to go home from here, it's not like there was some kind of after party. I even lost Rowan and Shannon in the crowd after the game was over. One minute they were by my side and the next... poof.

You can't blame me, this was my first game in a long while. I had the rights to be confused.

I walked to my truck, texting them that I was already going home.

"I'm coming with." a voice added, startling me. It was Rowan, resting her back on my truck.

"My God, Rowan you-"

"Almost gave you a heart attack?" she cut me off.

"Yes." I rolled my eyes, holding my phone to my chest.

"Good, then it won't beat so much when you see him." she smirked, nodding her head towards my back.

"What're you talking-"

"Hey Alyssa." another voice, more masculine cut me off again.

I shrieked and turned around. Cameron stood, still in his football uniform,

"Jesus, do you people want to kill me off?" I asked.

"I'll be in Tammy." Rowan snickered, stretching her hand forth. I sent her death glares and threw my keys to her.

Cameron still stood there, clearly confused on what just happened.

"I don't know what just happened, but you scare way too easy." he smiled.
