Alyssa's P.O.V
It's the third day of being suspended and I am already loosing my mind being alone at home. Sure, there's the perks of unlimited TV and food and lest I forget, sleep, which by the way, I'm totally living for.
But, and I never thought I'd say this ever, I miss school. When I get back, I'm going to have a shit ton of assignments, plus Mrs Turansky would've had a lot to say about the incidence, so the whole school was gonna be all up my ass about it, especially my teachers.
It's funny how one stupid decision, which felt genius at the time, could mess up your entire life.
The ringing of my phone lifted my spirit. I sprang up to pick the call, not even looking at the caller ID.
Yeah, that's how desperate I was.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Alyssa? This is Alyssa right?" a voice asked. It was real deep, so it was definitely a guy... or a deep-voiced lady, phone calls could be really confusing.
"Yeah, who is this?"
"Oh sorry, it's Jordan. I had Rowan give me your number," he explained.
"Okay, do I want to know why you did that? I'm just curious." I scooted up to the headboard of my bed.
"What kind of boyfriend-to-be wouldn't have the numbers of his girl's best friends?"
"Uh, I didn't realise you and Ro had reached that stage in your rela-"
I was cut off by his eager words. "We haven't, which is why I'm calling you. To talk to her."
I almost scoffed. He cut me off, rudely might I add, and now he wants me to talk to her. If there's one thing I know it's that once Rowan's made her mind up, there's no going back on that decision.
"Why do you think I can do that?" I asked to try avoiding what he was asking of me.
"I know it was you who made her come on the first date. Look Alyssa I really like Rowan. Can you please just do me this one favour?"
I sighed inwardly. "I guess I can try to talk to her, but I don't guarantee it's going to change her mind from whatever decision she's taken. Know that."
"I know she can be difficult, but she'll also listen to her best friend. Thanks Alyssa."
"Yeah, bye."
After the call, I had nothing important to do until school was over, so I resumed my TV watching spree.
---
My phone kept buzzing underneath my cheek. I pushed my face off and picked it, turning off the TV. Can't believe I slept off watching television... who does that?
"This is so going on my Instagram" I heard Ivan snicker.
That made me alert. If Ivan was back then school had to be over and I had to get my lazy ass to Rowan's. Ivan walked into view and waved his hands in my face. Annoyed, I caught it swiftly and pulled him down to my level.
"Did you take a picture if me sleeping? If you did you better delete it right now or I swear I'll break your phone in half," I whispered slowly.
"Eww, did you brush today? Your breath smells like armpit," he complained, giving me a sour face. I ignored him and breathed slowly into his face again.
Poor kid looked like he was gonna convulse. Was it that bad? Anyways the look on his face was priceless, so I took my own picture.
"Let go of me we're even now!" he struggled.
