Heyley
Thump thump. I can literally hear the sound of my heart beating against my chest.
I ran out straight from the ballroom as fast as I can because I cant control my heart for that man.
I can't fall in love that easily, call me a heartless person, but I know I'm gonna end up hurting someone who is gonna fell for me. It happened many times to several young business heirs when my parents arranged me to go on a blind relationship. I can't afford to break another innocent heart.
Thank god the lights went out. It's just that.. I'm just not sure myself, I'm just scared that things won't turn out the way I want to. It's complicated.
But the fact that he looks so familiar even with the mask on is really making me think that I knew him for quite some time.
---
I called my driver the minute I stormed out from the hall. It's really getting hot all of a sudden. I can feel my cheeks was on fire. I was too nervous to even look back.
I can't fall for him. I can't fall for him. No matter how much I want to, all of the guys are just the same, they go for me because of my background and not for me.
Ring ring. I literally snapped out from my thoughts in the car when someone called me.
"Heyley Song Jane! Where are you?!?" I heard my dad raising his voice from the other line.
"I'm fine dad, I'm on my way home already, I called Driver Kim to picked
me up just now, no worries, I have 3 bodyguards with me too" I replied back.
"Thank God u're safe! We've been looking all over for u! Even Nara didn't know where u went, I'll see you at home then. We'll be coming home in just a bit. Love you. " Cooed my dad.
"Okay, see yah! Love you too." I said before hanging up.
---
"What did I got myself into again?" I sigh to myself while looking at my reflection in the mirror.
I took out every single jewelry I had on and when I touched the spot on my hair where I expect my one of a kind pin to be there, it wasn't there anymore.
Oh god. Don't tell me I lost it. It's a precious accessory given by my grandma on my 16th birthday as an approval for taking the next place of taking over my dad's company. She is sooooooo gonna kill me.
I sigh again. I can't afford to feel depressed the whole night right?
Kris
I starred at the pin for awhile. By the looks of it, it's not some kind of cheap accessory u can afford to get easily.
She must've been worried finding this precious thing.
Last night, the dance with her was just simply amazing. It's been awhile I never felt this way.
I felt as if we were meant to be. I wished I knew where she came from and what company is she from.
I'm surprised that she's a very humble person when I realized her shyness of communicating with me and how gracefully she dance to the rhythm of the classical tone.
She's different from most of the rich girls I've came across though.
"Hey man! What are you doing with that pin?!?" Sehun said while storming into my office. I jumped for a second when he did that.
"You know, what did I told you about knocking?" I said with the cold signature voice I always had during office hours.
"Well excuse me, I've been knocking like a maniac outside your office for the pass five minutes and I thought you'd be engrossed in work cuz that's what u always do. And what's up with you and that pin until u're dreaming with your eyes open?" He said with a curious yet shocking tone.
"It's nothing actually" I shove the pin back in my pocket and continue to sign the stack of papers on my table.
And he is still there standing across my table.
"Why are u still here?" I asked while raising one of my eyebrow.
"Well uhh... it doesn't seem like u though, staring at a pin, seems legit. Either way, I'm here to invite u for lunch at the Western restaurant down town with the guys. It's been awhile since we last saw u out of your office and I won't take no for an answer. If u say no, I think I might tell them that you're crazy over a pin than denying our offer for lunch." Cooed Sehun with a cheeky voice.
What a good assistant head of department I have here.
"Very well. It's been awhile indeed. Tell the driver to get my car ready." I told him.
"Alright, see you in 5." The door swing closed after he walked out.
---
"Ohohoho! What do we have here, our CEO Kris Wu just agreed to join us for lunch after a million years" said Suho.
"Yeah I was wondering how this dragon changed overnight?" said Kai.
"Hey Sehun, you have got to tell me what strategy u used to make him get up from his burning office chair." said Tao to Sehun.
While the others just laugh their lungs out.
"You know, I didn't taught I would have lunch with some barnyard." while glancing at the menu and answering them indirectly.
"Yah, why are you so serious all the time? What happened to the Kris we used to hang out with during our teenage years?" said Lay while patting my back.
"Yeah, we couldn't have agreed more." said Luhan and the rest nodded.
Flashbacks began striking into my mind.
Just the thought when someone brought out that question, I kept on recalling the memories I had with this girl during my childhood years.
I remembered during our youth years, my family and I always called her Jane. And as the years pass by, we grew apart. And ever since, I've been trying to find her here and there.
And the more I think of it. Saran was not my first love. Jane WAS my first love.
Jane yah, where are you? Come back to me.
