Heyley
Sigh. I lie on my ever so tempting bed after walking the whole day around only 2 resorts with Kris. 2 down, 18 to go.
Damn, I didn't know it was this tiring. While I was panting like mad to catch my breath after walking for so long, Kris seems like he was walking like normal. Now that I think about it, I really wish I have his long legs.
The next day came by like usual. Click. I locked the door to my car after parking it and run off to the elevator to finish new paper works before lunch time came by again and the surveying of resorts will start in no time.
"Good morning Heyley!" a familiar voice said while tapping my shoulders.
"Good morning to you too, Mr. Zhang!" I smiled as the both of us stepped in the elevator.
"Aigo, just call me Yixing or Lay, formalities kills the mood you know." He chuckled teasingly.
"Hehe, I guess I'm used to it."
"I see. Well, I guess it's because we don't see each other that often. So what do you say we grab lunch together later?" He said with a friendly tone. Gosh his dimples could kill every single person around him!
"I guess I could spare some time before I head out for survey session. I'll see you later." I replied earning a smile from Lay.
Sometimes I really don't get it, all of Kris's close friends are so friendly and yet he's the other way around. I guess differences do attract the magnet right?
Ring ring. There goes my alarm for lunch hour. I stretched myself and grab my coat at the nearby hanger, can't forget Lay's lunch date, can I?
Knock knock. Who could it be? "Come in!" I sang to the other side.
Kris stormed in and that made me jumped a bit.
"So, are you ready for day 2 of surveying?" Kris asked with a thin tone. I'm so glad that he wasn't that cold anymore towards me.
"Isn't it lunch hour now? I thought we were told to start surveying after lunch?" I said stating the obvious.
"Yeah and that's why I'm here. I was thinking maybe we could have lunch together and from there you know where it leads to." He answered.
"I'm so sorry Kris, but I promised someone that I'll have lunch with him today." I said giving him a small smile
Just that moment, his smile fell into a frown and I don't know why.
"With whom?" He fastened his pace behind me from behind as we walk towards the elevator.
"His identity is not important, I'm just gonna get a quick bite and I'll be back because--
Ding. The elevator door slide open. "Oh there you are Heyley! Are you ready for our lunch date?" Lay asked giddily. "Oh and hi Kris!" He continued.
"What?! You're going to have lunch with him?!" Kris yelled and it shocked me.
"Kris I told you I'm just going to grab a bite and--
"No, she's not ready to have lunch with you because she's having lunch with me." Kris said sternly to Lay.
What did he said?!
"No need to fight here bossman. Let the lady choose. So Heyley, which one of us you want to have lunch with?" Both of them land their eyes on me.
Do we really have to go through this? It's just lunch.
It took me awhile to actually say something. I was frozen for awhile.
