Kris
"Father, I already told you I don't want this. I don't want to get married to someone I don't love," I yelled in frustration as I run my fingers in between my hair.
"Kris Wu Yi Fan, I know better than anyone that you don't want this. But can you at least give in for the sake of your grandparents? Please?" My father said. I groaned in frustration and left the room.
That night after Heyley left, I received a call from both of my parents telling me to freaking go to China for an important family matter. I kept hanging up countless times from their annoying call until I didn't even want to touch my phone after that.
As soon as I entered the office, I was even frustrated with the paper works I left hanging and that leave me a bad mood. After receiving another call from my parents, I got tired of it and finally picked up. I was immediately rushed to the airport with my suitcase and essentials ready as soon as I arrived home.
I didn't even have time to tell my assistant that I'd be leaving that day itself, I was in extreme rush and my only choice is to leave the last voicemail before my phone was confiscated whenever I'd leave for China. Which left me kind of strange because this is the first time my parents were aggressive towards me in doing such things. I wasn't allowed to contact anyone.
As soon as I stepped on my hometown soil, I was driven to my grandparent's mansion and I was extremely nervous to see my whole family was there as well.
It turns out, my grandfather is currently sick and he is really in a critical condition. And because I was the youngest boy and not married in the family, I was forced to marry my grandfather's best friend's daughter as his last wish before he dies.
I really didn't expect a marriage talk to happen so soon in my life especially to someone I really don't know. Sure I heard of the well known Wang Corporation, but I have never planned to ever get married to their daughter or something similar to it.
As far as I know myself, I am deeply aware that I have someone who I truly love back in Korea and it sucks how I can't do anything to go back. It hurts me in every single way that I would rather die than go through this. It hurts me more knowing that I have broken Heyley's trust on me.
Heyley
I stood still staring at the sky as my family's private jet flew up high flying both of my parents to Paris. I sigh and thought to myself, guess the house is all to mine till the end of the month.
"Agasshi, It's time to head back home," Steve whispered to my left ear.
I spun around and eyed the horizontal line of seven bodyguards. Gosh I don't get my father sometimes. I'm not a kid anymore. Sure I'm the next heir in line to carry his name, but I have my own privacy too.
Another Friday morning came by fast and I couldn't help but thinking about Kris all over again. It's been over a month since I last saw him and I felt as if it was just yesterday the news break out about him getting engage. Although I'm still hurt and curious what's going to happen next, but I couldn't afford to care more. I mean, why should I waste my time thinking about something which is not going to happen for Kris and I.
Knock. Knock. "Come in," I hummed as I eyed the figure coming in.
"Luhan!" I cheered as he greeted me with a smile.
"Anneyong, Heyley. It's been awhile isn't it?" He said as he brought out a stack of files.
"Yeah, it's been awhile indeed. Are those for me?" I asked him.
"Yeah, this would be half of the paper works done for the project. The headquarters just sent a notice to us saying that the opening ceremony would be approximately first half of next year," He explained as he showed me the agenda.
