"And that's the last of it, you're ready to work!" Nara said while closing the files.
I'm so glad she's my cousin who is always guiding me in every single thing I do after my mother. She's really an extra helping hand when I need it. If I ever need a friend to talk to or whatever. She's always the one on top of my list.
"Thank you unnie, you're the best!"
"Aniya, this is going to be easy for you I promise, you already have the business marketing blood in you!" she said while squeezing both of my cheeks.
"Hey cut it off, you know I hate you doing that!" I squirm in pain while pushing her hand away. Man that hurts.
"Aigoo it's just for fun. I can't believe my baby cousin is growing up already. I'm so sad do you know that?" she said teasingly.
"C'mon seriously, we still live in the same house. Only thing is I don't see you that often anymore. Where have you been lately actually? After that night at the reunion night."
"I was busy directing this company duhhhh. Those work don't just complete by itself you know. Oh and speaking of the reunion night, where did you go after the lights went off?" She asked out of curiosity.
Thump thump. Omg. Why did she remind me about that incident. So many unrecognized feelings just hit through my mind when I thought about the man I was dancing with. He was extremely handsome.
"I just uhhh went home? Let me guess. This is just some kind of matchmaking plan that u made with my dad again didn't you? Whatever it is, you know I'm not gonna fell for it," I sneered in annoyance.
"Oh come on, why would you think I'd do that? And plus, I think your dad has given up the idea of having a 'future son-in-law'. You gotta give that man a break somehow. He can't just work his sweat and blood on this company forever you know." Nara shot me back with a playful look.
"I know I know. That day is yet soon to come, but not today, or tomorrow, or next month or next year. Is just that, I don't think having another man in my life other than my dad is my type. Having my dad is more than enough. Hehe."
"Yeah who am I kidding. You're forever your daddy's lil girl. You don't know how worried he was when u disappeared that night. By the way, I saw you having the time of your life dancing with that guy behind the silver mask. If you ask me, that's the first time I've ever seen you open up to a guy that easily. And u guys look like you're gonna get married soon," Nara tease in amusement.
"You know, you're exaggerating more and more day by day. My dear unnie, did something hit you?" I shot her back while reach up her hair and ruffling it a bit.
"Geez, you're so materialistic sometimes. Gotta run, see you at home later. Bye bye!" She waved after heading the door.
So let's start the paper work.

I craned my neck after finishing 2 stack of files that needs to be done. It's only my first day and my neck is starting to hurt as if someone just strangled me.
Ring Ring. "Yeobuseyo?" I said to the other line of the phone.
"My dear daughter, did you invite your father for lunch to let him wait at the lobby for you?" my dad's deep voice is all I heard from the other line.
"Oh shoot, sorry sorry, I totally forgot about our lunch date. I'll be down in a minute!" I quickly spat after hanging up.
I shove my phone and wallet inside my bag and zoom out my office as fast as possible.
Ding. The 10 second elevator ride flew by in a blink of an eye. As soon as the door slide open, I run straight out and bammmmmmm... I hit something. Something hard.
It felt as if I got hit by a wall. And the next second I knew, it was actually someone's chest.
I rubbed my templates because man that hurts a lot.
"Ouuchhh, don't you have eyes?!?" a devilish voice shot me. Wait, have I heard this voice before?!?
"You're the one that came bangin--
"YOU AGAIN?!?" Both of our voice raised at the same time.
Oh my god. I swear I'm gonna kill myself right that instant. Of all the people in this world and it had to be him.
The rude yet handsome guy from Starbucks.
