Kris
After she left my office yesterday, I barely had any peace the rest of the day. Why? Because 11 of my so called bestfriends slash head of department slash share holders disguise as kids can't leave me alone.
"Tao I swear if you tell anybody about this I am gonna rip your Gucci tie into million pieces." I said crumpling the can of beer I had.
"You know, you should really lay of the alcohol. And don't worry about it, I'm guessing that u don't need the background check anymore." He said stating the obvious.
"Now run along. You and I have work. Especially when we're about to leave in less than two weeks." I said shooing him out.
I sprinted the accelerator on my car because it's my turn to check out Song Inc department office.
Thump thump. There goes my heart every single time the thought of Heyley crossed my mind.
I parked the car on Song Inc parking property and click the sound of my locked Maserati.
As I walked into the building, a few of the workers gave me a curt bow and I was then ushered to the Chairman's office.
He leaded the way to Heyley's office as she was my guide for today.
"Good morning Ms.Song!" I beamed and immediately my eyes widened at her condition.
Her office was in a stack up of boxes position but not messy at all, her hair was tied in a loose ponytail with messy strands and she was wearing the same office outfit as yesterday.
Seems like she just got up from a deep slumber.
"Good mo-- morning Mr.Wu! Give me a minute and I'll be right back." She closed the door to her office shooing me out.
"Sorry about my daughter. It's been an uptight schedule and despite she just started getting used to the business industry in less than 2 months." said Mr. Song.
She just started working here less than 2 months? Are u kidding me? From the way she speaks and organize things, it seems like she's been working here since forever.
"No it's okay Mr. Song. She's actually been doing a fine job by--
"Okay daddy, I'll take it from here. I'll show him around." Heyley said appearing out of nowhere.
But this time, her pony tail was neater. She had a thin make up and a blazer on. She really fix herself up well within 5 minutes.
We're back to square one where we're alone now after Mr. Song left. Thump thump thump. Stupid heart, will you stop doing that?!
"I'm so sorry, I was busy packing up for the move out branch and I even forgot what time was it." She said leading in slightly a few feet in front of me.
"Well it's a good thing you're not a slow poke when it comes to fixing yourself up. Either way, how does things work here?" I asked her and my face was as straight as the CEO aura I always had back in my office. I wanted to hide what I'm feeling when I was around her. Am I doing the right thing?
"Well it's almost the same as Wu Inc. I'm in charge of every single department but mainly the finance and marketing while my cousin is currently the director which is above me." She said professionally and not wanting to face me. Is she avoiding eye contact with me again?
After a long one hour walking here and there and planing the structures of the department office which is yet to arranged at WS Co, we finally stopped our tracks in Heyley's office.
This whole time when I was talking or walking with her, I felt like I was fighting my feelings against myself. I wanted to know the answers whether I like her or not. Is she the girl behind that silver mask?! Why does she look so familiar it's as if I've known her forever?!
And another part of me just told me not to get my hopes high.
"Ummm Kris, would you like to stay for some coffee?" I was snapped out from my thoughts with her words. I nodded without saying anything and it's as if I was lost in my own thoughts.
I sat on the couch of the coffee table in her office and waited for her to finish mixing the coffee at a far corner of her office.
She came back with two cups in her hand and handed me one. She sat across me and I took a quick sip on it. My mind was a little bit at ease.
I think the reason why I'm slightly mad right now because of Tao this morning, work for WS Co and of course, Heyley. Everything just seemed to crumple up in my mind and it's killing me.
"So I was thinking maybe we should do the opening ceremony ----- " the first few words of her sentence was clear and the rest was slowly dyeing of in my mind. I couldn't pay any attention.
"Hey Kris are you listening?" She waved in front of my face.
I grabbed her hand and pinned her against her seat.
"Heyley," I whispered against her ear with my husky deep voice.
"Wh-- what are you doing Kris?" She said stuttering and trying to move away. However, I pinned her once again refusing her to move. She was stunned.
"Heyley, stop confusing me. Please." I pleaded and and my eyes were away from her gaze.
"Wh- what are you talking about Kris?"
