Heyley
Monday came by faster than I thought and it feels as though the weekend I had was just one day. In other words, I really had fun spending my free time with Nara on discovering new things around this city. It feels like a never ending exploring and I'm loving it!
Thanks to the the Saturday morning interview Kris had on TV, I kept having this feeling it was me he was referring to. But a part of me was denying it like crazy because I don't want to get my heart hurt again.
After parking my car on the usual reserved spot in WS's basement, I made my way to the elevator and couldn't wait to finish all the undone work. Reports over reports over reports, could this job get any better? Sigh.
Ding. As the elevator door was about to close, a hand stopped in the middle and it just had to be Kris! Speak of the devil.
Gulp. I swallowed the lump of nervousness and control myself from making it obvious that I wanted to run away from him.
"Good morning, Mr. Wu!" I weakly said giving him a small smile. But deep inside, I really want to stay away from him.
"Good morning to you too," he said as his head hung low.
It was complete silence and it felt like this was the longest elevator ride ever.
"Say, would you stop using formalities when we're alone? I know what I did was wrong, but please don't do this to me," Kris said facing me. We were practically half a meter away.
"I can't sir. I won't be able to unused formalities as our relationship is between a boss and a worker. And I'm sorry, I don't know what-- ahhhh!
The elevator suddenly shook and I nearly stumbled onto Kris's direction but he was quick enough to grab my waist. Can this be more awkward?!
"You okay?" He asked with his husky voice. I'd be lying if I say I didn't like it.
I tilt my head upwards giving him a nod but our eyes met instantly. He was leaning in closer and his eyes trailed to my lips, just when he was about to kiss me,
Ding! The elevator door slide open and 3 pair of eyes turned our way and it was none other than Lay, Luhan and Chen.
"Di-- did we j-just interrupted something?" Luhan said in a very nervous tone.
I quickly shook myself off from Kris's grip and rubbed the side of my sleeves and stood half a meter away from him again. Gosh why did I fell for that! I feel so stupid! No more going near Kris I swear!
Erhem. I cleared my throat. "No, you didn't interrupted anything, Mr. Xi," I said to Luhan as the 3 of them stepped in. They just gave me a vicious smile which I'm sure there's an inner meaning.
Ding. Finally! "That's my floor, enjoy your day sir!" I said to my 4 bosses as I stepped out the elevator with my accelerating heart.
"Unnie, are you okay? You look nervous!" Eunji, one of my department's worker asked me. This girl right here has slowly became close to me and I'm grateful for having her in my department.
"Ahhh yes, yes I'm okay." I entered my office and this was the only place I felt safe. Geez Heyley, you should really control your feelings!
Kris
"Dude seriously, what was that?!" Chen asked with his signature sharp voice.
I loosen my tie and took the seat on the couch and 3 of them sat across me.
